This being the second year on the therapy, I am happy to report despite the $#%% demon I have not had to jab imitrex,take pred tapers, guinea pig ( the lastest stuff), bang the head or nothing, since Feb 2004 [smiley=jammin.gif]
I am fightin the shadow on and off and slammin the demon with alternative therapy. TAKE THAT $#$%er.
Today I rigged up back to back O2 concentrators. Couple of E's for work. Good by shadows.hopefully
I couldn't have done it without ya folks. [smiley=bow.gif]
Still have all the other poison just in case. [smiley=hurl.gif]
Take that again #%$^ demon bastard [smiley=bash.gif]
So why am I still here you ask? [smiley=gossip.gif]

Have you tried your set-up with the concentrators yet jb? I've been watching e-bay for a couple cheap concentrators to hook in tandem, gotta be easier than tanks. Let me know how it works for you. Glad your getting some relief.

That part of it's pretty cool. Open the cabinet, and unused/unneeded triptans cascade out across the counter. As long as the Alt Stash holds out, life is good.

You guys with the O2 concentrators.....any input welcome. I thought those things only put out 90-95% O2 at 5 lpm, needing 2 or 3 in tandem to get the desired output. No idea how that would work. Last discussion with the O2 supplier was Hi-Flow (8 lpm) concentrators were available, but expensive..........$800 - 1,000 each. Still need two of them.

Enlighten me.

The concentrators are such: One at 10 lpm its a Sequal technology (Integra). The other is New Life (Intensity /Airsep)at 8 lpm. Noisy things. Happy's right with the max concentration at 96%. The tech had the O2 sensor and it was floating at 96 to 97. Non-rebreather with an extra set of butterfly's. The good news is they promised one unit that puts out 20 lpm next week but they had to order it. I cant tell the difference between them and the E bottles. The shadow leaves and that's what counts. I can dose again tomorrow as I had to wait a few days between doses. This ones being tougher than last year but without the therapy its a sure bet I would be writhing.
Still counting....I will let you know on the 20 lpm unit when they pony up!

"Couple of E's for work" is referring to E tanks of O2, the US version of portable canned air.

Not much ALT about that.

RJ's right again...how does he do it. ;;D Update: the concentrators are equalizing in relation to flow output.
the more the I turn the 8lpm machine up the 10 lpm goes down to 7 lpm. I am getting steady flow rates at 14 lpm from both machines maxed out.
I am waiting for the suppliers tech to call back. Maybe a reverse flow check in the output line....and the saga continues. Still waiting on the 20 lpm machine. And the shadows are being promptly slammed. The dose is working for now..only time will tell. I get through Feb. and the bastard should hide for awhile.
