Yes, this is interesting. I've read several pieces like this that talks about hypothalamous involvement. Makes sense to me as I have failure throughout my entire autonomic nervous system and thats thought to have the same roots....also interesting about the apnea and possible low oxygen. I know this is a primary factor for me as anything that lowers my ability to get oxygen to my brain is what sets me off. I have trouble with this all the time, but ofcourse, the $64,000 question is why I go through cycles where it causes the excruciating pain and then have long periods of time when it doesn't.
