Title: No CH during pregancy???? Post by llreed on Dec 31st, 2005, 9:35pm I didn't have CH until my first son was 2 years old. Which would have made me 22 years old. My CH from there on was like clock work - June - July - August- . Unless I was pregnant, not one episode the whole 9 months. (Had 2 more boys). Now I just went 2 years CH free and now they are back. Noted the season has changed and the time line has changed this time. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this same experience with being CH. I know everything I have read says it's what they call the norm... just curious. Thanks, llreed |

Title: Re: No CH during pregancy???? Post by kcopelin on Jan 1st, 2006, 9:35am So far, pregnancy has been the only sure fire way to prevent CH for me. However, being of advanced years, post-menopausal, this is no longer a preventative that I can use. ::) Plus the side effects last at least 18 years and can be really nasty at first.. kathy |

Most women do not have a cycle when pregnant. There are some though who still get hit, like Lionsound, who had her baby yesterday. As for myself, I do not have a cycle while pregnant. I wish I could bottle up whatever it is that makes it so, and take it for when my cycle comes back afterwards. :( Anyway, I've noticed that the pregnancies I've had, changed the timelines and predictability of my cycles. That, and the freaking weather. >:( mel |

Title: Re: No CH during pregancy???? Post by lindysmom on Jan 1st, 2006, 9:05pm yes ladies...please tell. Hubby and I desperatly want to try to have a baby. We just found out that it would be possible 6 months ago for me but the beast got ugly and now we are playing with preventatives to get the CH under control. I'm afraid if we don't try we will lose our chance but that if we do get pregnant with these class C drugs the baby will have 6 heads 9 legs and no arms. Neuro tried to reassure me about epiletic women, etc and then jsut said that I could brave it and wean off of the meds since many women don't have CH during pregnancy. Right now they are so bad that I almost clocked him for even saying it though. So please do....tell your stories ladies...help us who have never to feel a little more confident about the process even though there are no guarantees. Thanks and much love! Prayers for PF days and nights. |

Title: Re: No CH during pregancy???? Post by Rosybabe on Mar 6th, 2007, 3:51pm Hi! I got my fist CH of the cycle in the delivery room!!!!!!!!! Good timing hah!! then 2 or 3 nasty ones every day during the 3 months of the cycle and I breastfed my baby for 18 months and went cold turkey the whole cycle, only tylenol because anything you take can go on the milk and passed to your baby. You will be amazed what you can do for your little ones!!! |

Title: Re: No CH during pregancy???? Post by Barry_T_Coles on Mar 8th, 2007, 6:33am Taurine Read up on it & you will find that expecting & lactating mothers produce Taurine in greater quantities than normal; Taurine is vital from conception in the fetal child for brain development and continues through lactation. Title: Re: No CH during pregancy???? Post by Samiam on Mar 10th, 2007, 10:09am Well I was told not to get pregnant because of the clusters. In fact a doctor discharged me from care due to getting pregnant. First time I didn't get hit until I was 8 months. Was able to take forinal then switched to foricet due to having C-sections. I think I only took 3 and I got them everyday. Second time I got hit at 4 months and had to have an MRA in order for the doctor to even take me thought the pregnacy. This was my OB. They lasted 4 weeks and then broke. They really didn't want me to carry to term but I refused to terminate my preg. Both boys were fine. I used stadol 1 time durning the second preg. Other then that I never took anything else. My boys were 6 yrs apart. You will be amazed at how strong you become when you are protecting your baby. Also after having the baby that was the first time that my cycles went longer. In the last 10 yrs I only cycled 95,98,2002,2007 so I'm getting longer remissions since having children. Sami |
