Title: Re: Consumer Reports on Prescription Meds Post by MJ on Dec 28th, 2005, 1:14am Makes one wonder how many other drugs were never fully tested or results fully released. Strong connections, lobbying and money can do a lot to get things through no matter how dangerous to you and I, as long as the return on investment looks promising. |

Title: Re: Consumer Reports on Prescription Meds Post by zwibbs/Scott on Jan 1st, 2006, 2:45am Doctors have a journal on ALL prescription drugs...It is massive. You can look up any drug and spend days reading the side effects of each one. Alot of times doctors will give you the basics on what side effects will exist. It is extraordinary what is printed in this book. In order for a drug to even be considered for approval by the FDA ---the drug companies have to go through extensive clinical testing and the results have to be near 99.999999% good. I find that people don't ever read the possible side effects, as they want help ASAP. I know that I fall into that category |
