Title: Nutrition Class Project
Post by Lizzie2 on Mar 29th, 2004, 9:31pm
Hi y'all...

For my nutrition class, we have to do an assignment on nutrition related to some topic that interests us.  I was thinking about doing mine on Vitamin and Mineral use to treat headaches.  I know that people have related various experiences with B vitamins and/or Magnesium, but I was wondering if you would mind giving a little input here.  Also, if anyone else uses any other type of Vitamin or Mineral besides B and Mg, please let me know!  Thanks!!

Lizzie :)

tough one Lizzie,

How about one that helps with the "smoother going" on Verapamil?  Maybe it could be your "number two" topic.

LOL Kevin!

Believe it or not, Magnesium is sometimes used to move along the problems associated with Verap.

We DID however, learn about black colon from excessive laxative use.  The photos of that was enough to never ever make me want to take a laxative ever again!!  LOL

Meletonin is a big one here. It did not do much for me, but some people it is a big help.

Right Now I take b-complex & valerian root at night.

The valerian is more used for help with sleeping, Similar to the meletonin (hell maybe I should try them together) but it also is kind of a natural muscle relaxer. Which again helps with stiil and releaves some of the tension that I get during my nighlty hits in my neck and shoulders.  Learned about it in a holistic medicinal book I have - prescribed for treatment of tension HA.  It has helped me to stay a bit more in control and not hurt so bad after the attack.

Hope that helps. Let me know if you want the name of the book or I can scan a few pages that talk about herbal redidies for ha's.

Good Luck

-Tia

I've been taking a multi vitamin since last June that did squat for the cycle that started last January. I have read that B6 is helpful tho.
