Title: Another ? Post by Liz04 on Mar 25th, 2004, 12:52am Newly diagnosed after months of >:( One week of topomax 125mg..now the pain is less frequent but more intense. Saw the doc yesterday and has now introduced me to the good ol' Imitrex injection..stating that the zomig nasal spray wasn't responding quick enough. Two days now and have taken one shot. Not sure about any of you but I held that injection in my hand for a long time...was hard to do... anyway...Starting verapamil next week. i suppose my question is...what could the less frequency but more intense pain be about? hmm? I'm hoping (praying) it could be going ba-bye.. |

Post by Superpain on Mar 25th, 2004, 2:27am I think it's different for everyone. personally I get the superbad ones at about 60% into my cycle, then they increase in repedity but shorter, but still intense till I'm having them constantly, then it goes away. It always seems to get worse before it ends. But my cycles are way longer than most... I'm going on a yr now. I think my first one was at least 4 months. It's been so long ago it's hard to remember. And I think I may have cph too, so I'm hardly typical... My best advise is to get O2... |

Although, I am so grateful that I have this place to turn to...and I'm not complaining because people are like "cluster-huh?" and just don't GET IT! |

I've only been here a week or so, and I'm far from being the worst off here, but from the sounds of it I'm probably in the top 15% of serious sufferers. Depending on who's definition you look at, I'm pretty much chronic, but I feel this cycle will end. As for the next one... I'm not sure. But I know there will be a next one. I know what you mean about the "cluster-huh?"... Frustrating as hell... I'd never wish this affliction on an enemy, but I'd give anything to be able to touch someones head while I'm getting hit and let them feel it! That would really be about the only effective way to make anyone understand. I guarantee if we were able to do that no one would ever fuck with us again! Hell... The department of defense would probably kidnap us all and turn us into weapons! |
