Title: This kinda sucks.... Post by Roxy on Mar 24th, 2004, 8:34pm I have my cardiologists appointment tomorrow. I ended up in the ER again Sunday night.....(no mom...I haven't used triptans.. :)), with my heart acting up. I have to admit, that even though I know they won't find anything wrong, I am a little worried. I also have quit smoking......so don't fucking fuck with me right now...... ;;D. This no smoking shit is for the birds. I'm trying to figure out what will happen when I kill my kids. |

I know it sucks, but it does get easier as you learn to live your life without smoking. It just takes some getting used to. Hell it has been almost 8 years for me and I still jones for a cig at times. One of my tricks that I still use all the time, is that everywhere I used to smoke (in the car espeically) I keep a huge stack of toothpicks. I know it is crazy, but being a smoker for 9 years at 1-2 packs a day, I was used to always having something in my mouth (dont even go there guys, I am trying to help ::)) So I chew on toothpicks all of the time. I always have one and it helps. Just try it. It becomes second nature to always light one up when I drove, so now as soon as I get in my car I grab a tooth pick and I am good to go. Seriously. In the meantime, there are some other side effects to expect. After about three days you will get really stupid. You will forget your kids names, you will go blank on the names of common objects (I couldn't remember what a "pen" was called - I asked my co-worker to pass me the thing that you write with that doesn't have lead). It only lasts a few days. After a couple of weeks, you will be fine. Your heart, lungs, frineds and your pocketbook will really appreciate that you quit. Send your kids to visit their favorite Uncle Chris - Virginia and I will keep them safe until you can again be trusted! XO, Chris |
