Title: mel's musings
Post by Melissa on Mar 23rd, 2004, 3:48pm
As I was fixin up my hair today, I began thinking about past conventions I attended, and how even though I was out of cycle, I would get shadows here and there.  I hung around a couple of chronics and others that were in cycle, and I noticed this would happen while I was spending time with them.  I think this is a weird phenomona (sp?) and it deserves a name.  Preferably named after me. ;;D  Anyhow, has this happened to anyone else while they've spent time around someone getting hit?

:)mel

P.S. Oh, and I also remember reading about the NY con. and the "sympathy" HA's.  I assume this is the same thing?

Men get morning sickness when their wives are preggers, so why not?

and women who work together synchronise cycles after a time

Kind of spooky but nice at the same time Melissa :D

psychosomatic????

cruel injustice??

a fluke???

seriously, perhaps it is the brain, mirroring the symptoms of those around you....

personally, I'd call it UNFAIR!!

This was exactly what made me think of the subject.  I had just gotten done reading an article that included a bunch of women who had to live together for 7 weeks, and they all got PMS at the same time.

I just about freaked out when I went to the Vancouver convention because I thought for sure I was going to go into cycle with all the shadows I was having. :-/

Holy shit! I never thought I'd ever hear anything that sounded worse than a cluster attack! Next time I'm fighting the beast, I'll summon up that image in my mind. Surely even the beast wouldn't fuck with that!  ;;D

Melenomapsychosishorner - a disease that causes a mild pain level Cluster headache just from being in close proximity to a sufferer who is cycle. This illness only effects sufferers who are not in cycle and women named Mel.

I think that it can happen! People do get hungry by thinking just food, so why not HAs when around those who have it...?

This phenomenon is well-known but I didn't think about it being associated with clusters....hmmm I can think of a few instances where it would be a handy tool if it were more pronounced. I really am mean you know.
