Title: OMFG I just Really f*cking hurt today... Post by Tiannia on Mar 10th, 2004, 7:30pm First off, let me say that right now my head is fine, but 2 hours ago, I was not so good. My doc appoiuntment was scheduled for 1.45 and I normally get hit around 2pm. And when the doc office called last night they say "Dont take any meds for an hour before your appointment time." As I left my office I knew I was getting one hell of a HA coming. By the time I got there my eye was tearing. They called me back and about 5 mins later the nurse comes into check my vitals and I am rocking on the table, covered in sweat my nose is running and my eye is swolen up. She brainstorm comment is "Are you having a Headache right now?" I wanted so bad to yell at her, no that this is fucking normal!! But thought better of it and told her yes and could she please get the doctor so that I could take my Imitrex since I was not supposed to take anythign. She runs out of the room and comes back in like 2 mins saying to take my imitrex. SO I do and the HA slowly subsided. (A few of you know how my backs been hurting worse lately) I must have really tensed up during the HA because once I could feel anything outside my head I could not move because my back was spazaming so bad I can barely breathe. The the nimrod, PH A comes in and says so the HA are better because most of your pain is in your back right? I laughed at him. Told him no, just that my head was better because the Imitrex kicked in. He sits down and starts writing refills for everything. I tell him that I want to start varap, and he says "well you are already taking inderal and all verap is, is another BP med and wont do anything differet." He ups my dose of Gabratil to 8m at night and tells me that this should help me sleep better because seizer meds are the most effective medications for headaches. By this point I just di dnot care anymore. I just wanted out of there. Sorry everyone. I am done venting. I am calling today to get an appointment with the doc that Gregg (LasVegas) recomended, as the 1st of March as past and my ins will let me see him now. Hopefully I can get him to listen to me. Since he knows about clusters you can probably get right in. If not, remind the front office that clusters are also referred to as suicide headaches. Might get their attention. |

Echo, if I had not been in so much pain I would have laughed at seeing her running up and down the hallway trying to find the doctor. And then she pounded on the bathroom door to ask if I could take my trx. There are times when I'm sure we could all get away with the Temp Insanity please for justifiable homoside for people like that. Ebded up today going to a regular doc cause I woke up sick as hell and just hurting all over. Just my luck, I now have an ear infection and a sinus infection. Luckly I did not get the standard comment of "Well that explains your headaches and once the infections are gone you feel just great." blah blah blah. Anyone know a doc that has a license to preform medicine rather the practice? ;) Tia |
