Don't know if you tried adding them to the list already, but orbitz.com has done better pricing on flights and packages than Expedia on lots of my travel.
They sometimes also offer "web exclusive" flight prices on a limited basis.

No blind flying times either so you can choose before purchasing.
Worth a mention.

I just booked a flight from Spokane, WA. to Nashville for 238.00  round-trip.  From Price-line.com

Don't think I could have gotten it any cheaper anywhere else.  Linda

$238.00 round trip from CA? WOW! that's damned good Linda. If gas keeps going up like it has been I probably won't be able to drive the 300 miles that cheap.
Can't wait to meet you.

Jim

You got a good deal Linda.

Personally, I like choosing my flight times, and priceline tells you that you'll get your exact flight times After you purchase.  I also think you can't change your flights if you need to later on, as tickets are bought in bulk.  That happened at a wedding I attended.  I guess its a matter of preference anyway, it was a suggestion only.

Good luck airfare hunting people!

Later.

Pep, you can change your flight after you purchase your ticket through Priceline, BUT you need to pay a change fee.  I think it's anywhere from $50-$100

I just found a flight on expedia from San Jose, CA  for $232.  I don't know if I'm going to the convention, but I guess that's a pretty good price.

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHH

I am getting so pissed off here!  Well, I waited too damn long (2 days) to book my flight and hotel together, so the damn price went up $50!!!  Not only that, I cannot just purchase the airline ticket alone out of the airport I chose for the package??? WTF?  If I EVER get something accomplished here, I'll be so fucking happy. >:(

Damn travel industry, I hated it when I worked for them, and I STILL HATE IT!!! :P :P :P :P :P :P :P

Orbitz.com has always been my best
resource, without all the restrictions
& added costs.

Thanks Peppermint.

All of the affiliates for me from Seattle turned out to be $229 to $233 and Priceline was $234 and Orbitz was $233.

I applied to Orbitz for affiliation so that might take a couple of days to go through, and I'll see if DJ can add that link to the OUCH mall.

THANKS ALL!!
I know I couldn't get priceline as an affiliate...we din't have enough traffic on the ouch site for em, sorry.

Thanks for checking with the ouch mall first when you checked flights.  APPRECIATE IT!!

Well, for the hell of it I checked Hotwire.com for a flight out of Madison.  It ended up being $173, so I took it.  My flight out leaves at 7:16am, which I need to drive 1 & 1/2 hrs to get to the airport, so it's going to be a damn early morning!!!  My 1st flight has a connection in Memphis, and the return in Minneapolis.

I'll be gettin into Nashville at 10:17am Friday, thank goodness people will already be there! LOL

Oh and Mast, I did click the Hotwire link through the OUCH site, so I hope it went through OK.

:)

TANX Mel,
Glad you found a good price.
I got the cheapest price through hotwire too, but the bad thing about that site is that you can't choose your times!!  I hate that.
Thanks for going through the mall...see ya early friday in Nashville, LOL

Unfortunately, Orbitz denied us affiliation.

Oh well...

Melissa,

Flights from smaller metropolitan areas experience less convenient service.  Connections are involved.  Your price does not seem bad actually.  You have made an excellent effort to be there and are an inspiration to any hanging on a fence about going.  You're even going to be there bright and early.
Non-stops from Detroit (closer) are higher than that.  Yes, as someone mentioned, you are resourceful.  Good job.

There'll  be someone up to greet you (and meet you at the airport.). Early is good - gives us the whole day to "visit" - and that's what we do....

right now - I think there are three of us driving up from Texas. Should be interesting - three clusterheads in the same vehicle...

How many days till convention???? Anyone got a short-timers calendar?

Hugs BD

How does Alexandria Bay, NY in July sound for an OUCH Annual Convention? Great?
Sorry, it already happened.............last July.  :'( Looks like you're just going to have to organize a meet yourself. Sorry 'bout that. :(

I will.  NJ - not NY.  ;;D

I'm getting the details about how to go about it.

Hi Toni,
Sorry to tell you that. The OUCH convention moves around the country, one end to the other and top to bottom each year. That gives everyone a fair chance of being close at least once. There is a lot of cluster sufferers in you part of the country. Hope you get a good turn out. Try to keep it simple and cheap, but don't cheap it to death, and they will come. Good luck.
