Title: Short but frequent cycles?
Post by jerod on Feb 24th, 2004, 4:06pm
I had always thought that i was more-or-less a chronic sufferer but the more I pay attention and document the occurences of my CHs it seems that there is a rough 2 weeks on/1 week off pattern emerging where I get approx. 3 to 5 bad CHs a day.  It's the typical scenario consisting of slightly milder daytime CHs and then real cripplers when I'm ripped out of a dead sleep after about an hour and stand in the corner half bracing myself against the wall and half essentially punching myself in the face while wiping my nose and eye for the following couple of hours.  I was just curious to see if anyone else had these shorter/frequent/intense cycles as opposed to the 3 or so months on with the rest of the year OK cycles.  Maybe this is just how chronic CH behaves and I just don't know it.  Anyhow, just looking for some additional insight.

Thanks for the confirmation.  I suspected that might be the case but I just wanted to compare with some other, more educated, Heads.  I've been trying to keep a journal to gain a better understanding but I'm not sure it will be much help.  Any good ideas on keeping track/knowing your particular cycles/triggers better?

That's a tough one...... Only you can answer that, and the answer comes with time, trial and error.

If there were, a lot of us wouldn't be here.  Sorry.  But it is a long struggle, the key is to keep learning and to never give up the fight.
