Title: (UPDATED) Purse, glasses, and my tooth.....
Post by Gena on Feb 22nd, 2004, 3:30pm
All broke in the same day :-/ WTF. I was scared to drive to the dentist, the car might brake!

Anyway I got to the dentist, and the dentest could do nothing for me the root was exposed. She sent me to another doc and I had to have an emergency root canal :o (on the same side I have my clusters)

Now I am getting hit and hit hard O2 helping some. Last night I was hit with at least a 9, Now my eye will not quit tearing and nose is still running and of course the teeth hurt like a bit*h. My face hurts so bad I can't even touch it. (I keep looking for a bruse or something). Nero appt is still weeks away.

Call the guy who did the root canal and all he offered were pain killers. I tryed just one and when it wore off is when I got hit with the 9.

I feel so f* up right now I pace, bang and .....
anyway I will stop winning, thanks for reading....

Called the doc that did my root canal and I will see him at 10:00 am tomorrow.  Then after I got off the phone with him my Nero called he had a cancellation ad I am in tomorrow at 12:00.

Wish me luck…. I really need it. Even when the pain subsides the eye and nose keep running. Which makes my hour long commute seam like 3?

Maybe between the two they can get it worked out (maybe)

Vibes are going out to you, but I can only imagine what you're going thru.  I guess when it rains it pours.

Hang in there -- someday......

I might go call that dentist back if you have pain like that in the tooth.  A root canal can get infected and the hurt is VERY substantial.  The root canal will have to be unplugged and the infection let out and you started on antibiotics immediately, with a follow up appt to check progress of infection residing.  If you have that concern, let the dentist know that when the painkillers (usually motrin 800's) wear off (about two hours) the pain comes right back and are worried it may be infected.  A dentist should react to that with quick appointment.
Assess if this may be a possibility and if you think so, don't hesitate longer.  Try to distinguish if that kind of pain is coming from the tooth area.

Best to you,

Kevin M

Damn Gena, what's up with all that?
I've never had a root canal but like Kevin says if it's that bad you should have it checked. You don't wanna mess around with an infection.
And those pain meds might be triggering your headaches so go easy on that stuff.
Hang in there girl. It can only get better, right?
