Title: more on tuning fork
Post by bubu on Feb 13th, 2004, 7:27am
day four: down to 2 or 3 headaches a day ,thats from 6 or 7, the intensity has come down from 5-8 to 3-5. if i get them. like i said before never have i had a false start, when i feel one coming on i saddle my hell satalion and prepare for riding on the storm, and yet as soon as i get that feeling i stick the tuning fork, everpresent in my pocket or by my bed and after a couple twangs (more like 5 or 6 twangs) the D thing goes away!
i teach in the afternoon and had to cancel a few classes lasr week but not since tuning fork!
the only real headaches i have gotten are between 2am and 9a, waking me up already with pain and even though i think its too late i still have time to twang away and these headaches are usually my worst and last the longest but with tuning fork they are gone within ten  minutes and i dont even get to moaning or dancing!
this is also new!
this is how i do it.
my head on a hard pillow (i have CH in my right temple) so left side of head on pillow with left ear folded over itself ( like singers do when they want to hear themselves) and with my left hand i hold butt of tuning fork on right temple and twang (twick?) with my right hand on prongs and hear and feel the resonance go through my head. i let it ring out and twang again.
maybe my first cycle in 7 years is alresady over after only two weeks, maybe its autosuggestion cause i really want to believe.
someone pleae try it.
"A" tuning fork for stringed instruments from any musical instruments store

I don't know what to make of that. Would my electronic guitar tuner work? And if so where do I plug it in?(don't answer that) It may be autosuggestion but if it works for you all the more power. PFDAN Glen

How about just an electric guitar?

Buddy of mine is a sound guy at the Fleet Center. I'll go plug in some Hendrix, Plop my noggin against one of those 25 foot sound towers and let her rip!

You could massage your brow/temple/ear with  one of those battery driven electric massagers that you get in marital aids shops...

And so we finally hook up with theTV-researcher and her sexual headaches. lol.

actually, speaking of massagers/vibrators.....

I use a vibrator, when getting hit, on the notch at top of eye in orbital bone,  on the supraorbital notch, and on my temple and then progress down to under my eye where it will tickle my nose and cause me to sneeze.  I do the sneezing things several times and it temporarily  uncongests my left nostril.  Of course, then I try to blow my nose and there is nothing to blow out, but the vibrating and sneeze reflex seems to lower the kip level, at least temporarily.

anyone else try this?

I've noticed when I'm having an attack that when I blow my nose there is a temporary relief (2 secs) of the pain. Maybe a small "personal vibrator" shoved up my nose would provide some relief.
