Title: spinal cord/ got my imigran jabs
Post by Janzokris on Jan 28th, 2004, 2:48am
Hi guys

Been a while since I posted here but Im still stuck with CH. I went to see my orthapedic consultant last week (problems with back) and he showed me the results of my MRI scan which showed up something on my spinal cord, it was a black mass from the waist down.  I have been told under no circumstances to lift anything heavier than a kettle of water, so this has me frightened now.  As I am due to see the neuro on 16th Feb he has sent the results to him to find out what it is.

I also got 20 injections of imigran injections, so at least one the gp`s in our surgery believe me.

A ton of information here on what may possibly be the problem with the spinal cord.   This is what they were looking into when Dave was having all his problems these past few months.  Syrinomyelia and chiari malformation are almost as uncommon as CH.
Will say a prayer for you,  be CAREFUL with your back.

Thanks Annette for that link, I have read about "Syrinomyelia" and my symptons all cover this. although the picture shows the problem being at the top of the spinal cord while mine is from the waist down. Which obviously explains the loss of sensation in that area. The cold most definetely brings on a total loss of legs and feet but the headaches occur at the same time of day every day.

Will certainly mention this to my neuro when I see him.

Thanks again for that link, found it very interesting.
