Hope they can respond to your need to abort with something safer, but the heart docs might not be the one's to know what to do about clusters in this situation. Get medical counseling advise about what to do about abort. I'm sure you have inquired. I'm no doc, so I've not any solutions. Then there's the period after the bypass too, same prob, what to use. I'm sure they can suggest something for you. Pulling all I can for you. The bypass has a very good success rate and is done daily by the docs who do that. You will be alright, sore, but alright. Please, let us know how you are doing. It's a situation, but a solution is out there. Best to you through this time. Will be thinking about you. Kevin M |

I've harvesting vein and assisting on these surgeries for over 10 years now and they continue become more routine. As for the no imitrex, I think it will be longer than expected but they should be able to come up with a safe alternative. My prayers go out to you and don't stress over the by-pass situation. things tend to work themselves out in the long run. "CHMan" |

It works great for me and I love it more than my trex!! Dad had triple bypass surgery about 8 years ago...he's doing great. With today's technology, I wouldn't be too worried. I agree with Ave and Deb. Big operations tend to have a welcome effect on clusters. Who knows what will happen afterwards? Our bodies seem to know what's important. Scary as hell I am sure but being a CH veteran, I am sure you will pull through fine. Someone in the post stated that living without trex is hell, I disagree.
