Title: Guys I need some vibes pls... Post by Tiannia on Jan 26th, 2004, 11:41am Not sure just what all is happening. Last Tuesday after noon I got hit really hard and ended up leaving work early. Felt really bad that whole night. Started throwing up and could not eat. Tuesday Night I started my topomax as well 25 mg. Wednesday I went to urgent care and they told my I had food poisoning. (Now I am not so sure think it might have been the flu ior something like that) Now it is almost a week later and I still really cant keep anything down. Dont feel like eating and just dont feel right. I am trying to make sure that I eat a couple of smal meals through out the day to keep my energy up, but I am still throwing up at least once or twice a day. I have a call to try and get into my GP. But I could use some energy sent my way. I have to stay functional. I got 2 little kids that count on mommy way to too much, not to mention my husband who is just about as bad. I understand the vomiting so well, I take zofran everyday like 4 times a day at $500 for 30 pills. I've been diminishing in size for awhile everyday but it's not nice to take bite of something and turn around running for the bathroom. My GP wouldn't do anything for the nausea until I got sick in his office 2 weeks ago. And of sourse I dropped another 8#'s in a week. My prayers go out to you and your family. |

Cause I dont want to just stop taking it. And it could just have been bad timing and a culmination of everything all together. (Topomax, flu, food posioning, etc...) But a week of this shit has got to stop. While I dont mind dropping a few pounds. I'll be damned if I want to feel like walking up the stairs is too much for me. :-/ This morning I carried my son upstairs after getting him dressed and ready and I ended up on the floor on my knees for about 5 mins while I caught my breath and tried not to have to run to the bath room again. The beast is hard enough to fight when I have energy but right now fuck no. Yesterday I wanted to lay down and give up and that is just not me. I see the doc tomorrow at 9am. You can but it in many grocery stores or you can steep a couple of ginger sticks in hot water. It works well for nausea until you can get over what you have. If it is the meds then you doc may give you a perscription that may help, if he doesn't want you off the meds. Opus/Paul |

It ended up I got food poisoning from IHOP and was finally diagnosed with e coli bacteria. A week's worth of antibiotic and I'm eating again and doing better in that dept. good luck with the doc and the kids renee |
