Title: Nashville! Post by ZAIRA on Jan 15th, 2004, 4:22pm ;;D Hi to everybody, Many of you ask me if I and Riccardo come to the next OUCH convention! My passport is already ready... the problem is Riccardo. He can’t give me an answer until March... I never face such a long travel alone, because I have fear of flying ::)... and traveling alone for me it is a problem because I need a nurse ;;D beside me! I would not like to be in Atlanta airport (from Italy there is not direct fly to Nashville!) with the beast... if the police think I’m a terrorist I’ll go to prison... ;;D I don’t know... but if he will come, me too ;;D! I would love to be there... I must to see Don again ;;D... I joke of course, I’d like to meet you all ;)! I think I’ll not understand anything (my problem is to understand American people when they speak ;;D... Don apart)... or maybe you don’t understand my fantastic English... but it is anyway a good experience! ::) Best wishes, Zaira |

I sincerely hope you as well as our "kissing bandit" Riccardo will be able to come and see us. I would love to see him again!! He's so funny!! :D Dont worry about the English thing dear. We all did fine with Piera (she is a wonderful lady) and Riccardo in Alanta. Besides some of us (like ME ;)) have an inside line.........I had a family member that was Italy so it will all be good!! ;;D Looking forward to Nashville more and more, Leesa ;;D |

But it is a different language from English so I must concentrate myself ;;D. And the same problem is for all the foreigners. However I think that if I come we will understand ourselves, perhaps with gestures. Post by Kevin_M on Jan 16th, 2004, 3:33am Zaira, If considering, Northwest has non-stops through Detroit, and Nashville is a huge domestic hub for them, not much more $$ to Nashville from here. If I go, I would fly from here. Would be glad to help and escort from here. I can help translate Detroit English into Nashville English, although I'm not sure how Jayne mime's that fantastic dialect. I picked up Houstonian English while down there, but when moved back, my brother says, "Uh, you're not going to be talking like that back here in Detroit are you?" I miss it. Of course Houstonian is not to be indistinguished from Northern Lousianian, Southern Lousianian, or West Texan. Loved the variety. I think I can pick up and get by with Nashvillian. I'd be happy to help if you should decide so you won't feel alone in this country. I'd be flexible to help and accomondate whatever suits your timespan. Once in Nashville, no worries. Kevin M. |
