Title: OUCH Brochure to GP's
Post by pubgirl on Jan 7th, 2004, 8:43pm
I'm not just blowing the OUCh trumpet here, just letting you know that things can be done if you have a will and some cash!

The OUCH brochure I mentioned in Janet's thread was mailed out to every single GP in the UK using funds raised by OUCH members (including people here) and partially sponsored by Glaxo (for obvious reasons)

I have just seen from the Business Board that BobP has posted a copy of the brochure on the OUCH Business Board suggesting the same thing be tried here in the USA to assist in the ongoing drive to educate Doctors.

Hope it's OK Bob, but here is the link folks if you are interested

AND....if you live in California and haven't joined Cal OUCH, do so.    I have some brochures I will send you to take to Dr.s, etc.    Just e-mail me.    I've printed up a lot so, feel free to ask.     Linda

Wendy,

Thanks for the added word on this!!

Hirvimaki and I are currently redesigning our current brochure and I am assembling a team to gather addresses.  Anyone who wants to help can sign up over on the OUCH boards in the Newsletter Forum or on CH.com under the thread "Important Decision-Please Read"

We are also strategizing to obtain corporate sponsorship of this project.  If you have ideas or want to help...now is the time!!!

Any and all help is appreciated.

OK.  Help please.  I was going to print a bunch and pass them out....but it has the UK thing on it.  Can it be changed???   Or can I make my own brochure with the same info?  Do I have to get permission somewhere???
I had been thinking about making a flyer and taking copies to my next neuro appt.  Who can help me out on the red tape issues???

Little Deb

Deb and Paige

If you flip over to the OUCH board link on the left, members general business Board, I think you will find plans are underway for preparing a version of this for use in the USA. It is a post by Bob P but I can't remember what it is titled

Sorry Donna
I was guilty of missing the name of the thread too.

Hope wheels are not being reinvented in every State of the USA now!

Deb,

This is the 'most current' version of the OUCH brochure:

http://www.clusterheadaches.org/broc_files/pub/

This was never finished completely (a few spots that could use graphics).

It is a .jpg (picture).  I have the MS Publisher version on my home computer.  It was intened to be a tri-fold brochure that you could slip into those wall racks at doctor's offices.

The UK version was intended to teach doctors how to diagnose CH since studies show that it takes a while for a sufferer to get a correct diagnosis.  They sent it out to 40,000 doctors.
