I always make promises to myself that I will not respond emotionally on a world wide web (sorry DJ!!!); but Thanks for the reminder.....I can only hope that those that I have screamed and screeched at will understand the reasons why. In NY that day............such a brigh and beautiful day. We all woke up and began the day in earnest, while a dark and well planned =========and WELL FUNDED operation went off without (almost) a hitch.........and, in the beginning (remember RUDY -- his face exhausted and grey, but holding up!!!) we all for an instant felt United as a people.............I remember when the opposing parties stood and sang TOGETHER!, God Bless America..... - and then everything went to HELL!!!!!!!!!!This is what I have been mourning since that time. Our countries' division for something we did not deserve or ask for.

Please do not ask me to "understand" the motives of murderers.....please do not ask me to sneer at a leader who has not wavered ONCE since that time (while many other "Leaders" have leaked from both sides of the lips)

And most of all, please think tonight of all the good folks who don't bother to get verbally worked up, whose philosophy can NEVER deter them from protecting your rights to quibble! Think of what their worth is to you and your families......

I am regretful of the things I say in anger, because the ones protecting me will never have that platform. They simply protect it with a full heart and a level head. Something we could all use now and then.

Those images still make me cry.

I am taken back to the date and the time, as I stood in horror with tears streaming down my face as my husband telephoned and said he didn't know when he'd be home again.

I will never forget, I will always hold a large ache in my heart for the victims of the horrific attack on US soil.
