Saw the neurologist and was checked immediatly into the hospital. No, they're not CH. We're guessing right now it's Status Migranousis. We're trying the Beta-blockers again, but all other treatmetns have failed. And because of all the other treatments, I'm forbidden to take -anything- for the pain. I get to just suffer through.

Gah, this sucks.

But I wanted to thank you all for the info and the support you gave me while I was here.

Ted is almost always right.

I, too have never heard of what they say you have.
Certainly hope they can help you though. Keep the faith that these wonderful physicians we all know and love will help you through this. Good luck to you from the bottom of my cynical heart.

Really and truly I wish you luck.....I just had to let that out or I was gonna burst.

* Status migrainosus: This is a rare and severe type of migraine that can last 72 hours or longer. The pain and nausea are so intense sufferers often must be hospitalized. The use of certain drugs can trigger status migrainosus. Neurologists report that many of their status migrainosus patients were depressed and anxious before they experienced headache attacks.

Pam, I'm glad you got the right diagnosis. I hope the beta blockers work this time and that you find a lot of time without pain. I'm sorry you have to feel any, though. Good luck in your quest for relief.

......Pamc sorry your still in pain, but thankful you are not suffereing with CH, I truely hope you find relief soon.

As for support groups, you can email me any time, Im not a sufferer but I can be a friend.

Is no biggie. Though many of the links here I was able to find groups for SM sufferers and that has helped.
