Title: sorehead ??
Post by ransbike on Mar 13th, 2003, 2:21pm
I'm new here, but veteran of CH.. anyway.. wondering if
anyone else gets soreness after an attack.. I mean like you've been hit with a bat in the head.. also, how about sensitivity to odors..especially chemically based ones.. perfume, stuff like that.  This episode I'm in is the worst over the past 35 years.. the soreness never leaves !!!  Ow well better days are ahead...I hope !!

I don't get soreness, but I do have rare days when the pain never fully retreats. Definately have the sensitivity to those types of odors. Although I always figured it was because the odor was a distraction. I cannot abide distractions when I'm having an attack. I don't mean sensitivity to light or sound, I mean someone asking me a question, or my shoelace coming untied, or something like that. I do not have sensitivity to those types of odors during pain free periods.

I know exactly what you mean about your head being sore after getting a CH. Sometimes after a night of dancing with the beast my head is so sore that I can't even touch it...it feels like I've been beat up.
My Dr says that just shows you how much inflamation these things are causing.
pfdan's to you,
Jim

My head is exactly like it was before an attack.

I have not found anything that triggers CH in 27 years.

If someone comes near me when under attack they will surely be beatin and may die.

When its over I usually do a "Happy feet" dance....I kid you not!!!

I never knew that people did not have a sore head after an episode. I always do.

I typically get headaches at 1:00 or 2:00. As soon as the CH ends, my head is already very sensitive. I always thought it was because I had been pressing an ice pack (righteously firmly) to the offending area.

Nonetheless, the sore head lasts usually lasts until midday. With twinges into the early evening.

Yes, I have experienced a soreness on the top of head; same side as the CH pain. The smell of perfume and certain plants blooming although not a CH trigger is something I feel sensitive too. I breath through my mouth and not my nose when in  that situation. I think my body starts releasing histamines, can't be sure, feels like it---weird sensation. We all have our quircks.

Ooooooooo yes........during cycle for me........the head never stops being sore until the beast goes away for good..........and that is usually for weeks

soreness, which I explain to my family as a "headache where my other headache used to be until it comes back"     poor dears, and they say they understand.......I love them for trying!   lol

pf wishes,
EDNA

I'm just like Jonny. My headaches seemed to drain out of my head and were gone entirely. My disposition didn't improve much however.
