Title: Question about flying??? Post by Kcir on Mar 12th, 2003, 6:15pm Question to all re. flying, I mean in a air plane (not drugs). Last Saturday I was returning home from a vacation in Jamaica I had two attacks on a four hour flight. The first one was soon after we took off. My wife could tell it was a bad one so she asked for and got oxygen for me. The O2 worked good as usual except it was a little slow to come out of the bottle. Three hours later it hit me again as we were desending. It was too late to get more O2 because we were landing soon. I had to suffer thru it, about a 13 on the Kip scale. I know the scale only goes to ten. Questions: Does flying have this effect on others? What do you do when you have to fly? Had no trouble going down and had arranged for O2 while in Jamaica so I was ok most of the time. I don't think I will ever get on a plane again when I'm in a cycle. Rick T |

Title: Re: Question about flying??? Post by Roxy on Mar 12th, 2003, 6:29pm Rick, sorry you got hit like that on the plane. I have a 5 hr. flight next weekend. And the trip for me to get to the convention will be 9 hrs. I don't even plan to rely on 02 on the plane. I'm going to do just what jonny stated above....about 10 loaded syringes in my carry on. The 02 is good, but not always reliable for me. You can fly in cycle....just don't forget the abortives. Tracey |
