I recently posed about not being able to get my prescription filled for the Imitrex injections because of the insurance company not allowing me but 6 per month. I have found thru this site this is very common. I just got home from the hospital ER where I just receive an injection, and will probably be going back every night until I can get my prescription refilled in 3 weeks! Is it just me or does everyone else think these insurance companies are totally stupid? They will not pay for the injections, but they will pay an ER to give me one of theirs every night! STUPID! STUPID! STUPID! ???

Insurance companies REALLY dumb!!

I say, if you gotta go to the ER to get your meds, then GO and stick it to em!!!

Stupid? Hell yes! Dont make sense to me either.
Cant hurt to ask, but next time your at the ER, ask them if they have any sample imitrex injects for you. Might keep you away for a few days.

Janice i told you how much i pay for insurance 920
a month and only get two vials a month i'am mad as a mother fucker with these insurance companys

Need More Imitrex?

If you need more Imitrex then your insurance company will provide and your doctor is willing to prescribe it, you can contact Glaxo Smith Kline directly, They have a division called "Reimbursement Resource Center" ( the name implies you have to pay up front, but that is not the case), Call them at 1-800-745-2967 option #4, give them the information they ask for, your doctor's name & number, insurance company info, etc. and they will assign you a case worker who will contact you insurance company and hopefully get them to increase the number of doses.

STUPID??? HA!!! Its their way of telling us when were allowed to be sick or in pain.. What ashame.. ID like to take this headache I have right now and shove it up their..... well you know.. I have one injection left until next month.. Thank you .... you *&^%^%*&&^@@ oh and by the way........STUPID!! thats too much of a compliment >:(
