Title: Im supporting.... Post by Ree on Mar 5th, 2003, 6:29pm OUR COUNTRY!!!! GOD BLESS AMERICA AND THE ONLY PEOPLE THAT ARE GOING TO DO ANYTHING TO GET US OUT OF THIS SORRY MESS... OUR KIDS GOT THIS ONE FROM THE HORSES MOUTH TODAY STRAIGHT OFF THE SHIP FROM MY SON <3 REE ps if anyone saw Good Morning America today, That was Seans platoon the 26th MEU leaving Camp LeJune I saw my son on TV today!!! Charlie Daniel's Letter to the Hollywood Bunch: An Open Letter To The Hollywood Bunch OK, let's just say for a moment you bunch of pampered, overpaid, unrealistic children had your way and the U.S.A. didn't go into Iraq. Let's say that you really get your way and we destroy all our nuclear weapons and stick daisies in our gun barrels and sit around with some white wine and cheese and pat ourselves on the back, so proud of what we've done for world peace. Let's say that we cut the military budget to just enough to keep the National Guard on hand to help out with floods and fires. Let's say that we close down our military bases all over the world and bring the troops home, increase our foreign aid and drop all the trade sanctions against everybody. I suppose that in your fantasy world this would create a utopian world where everybody would live in peace. After all, the great monster, the United States of America, the cause of all the world's trouble would have disbanded it's horrible military and certainly all the other countries of the world would follow suit. After all, they only arm themselves to defend their countries from the mean old U.S.A. Why you bunch of pitiful, hypocritical, idiotic, spoiled mugwumps. get your head out of the sand and smell the Trade Towers burning. Do you think that a trip to Iraq by Sean Penn did anything but encourage a wanton murderer to think that the people of the U.S.A. didn't have the nerve or the guts to fight him? Barbara Streisand's fanatical and hateful rankings about George Bush makes about as much sense as Michael Jackson hanging a baby over a railing. You people need to get out of Hollywood once in a while and get out into the real world. You'd be surprised at the hostility you would find out here. Stop in at a truck stop and tell an overworked, long distance truck driver that you don't think Saddam Hussein is doing anything wrong. Tell a farmer with a couple of sons in the military that you think the United States has no right to defend itself. Go down to Baxley, Georgia and hold an anti-war rally and see what the folks down there think about you. Please visit Clarksville, Tennessee and the 101st Airborne and talk that S*IT, please visit those Real American's. You people are some of the most disgusting examples of a waste of protoplasm I've ever had the displeasure to hear about. Sean Penn, you're a traitor to the United States of America. You gave aid and comfort to the enemy. How many American lives will your little, "fact finding trip" to Iraq cost? You encouraged Saddam to think that we didn't have the stomach for war. You people protect one of the most evil men on the face of this earth and won't lift a finger to save the life of an unborn baby. Freedom of choice you say? Well, I'm going to exercise some freedom of choice of my own. If I see any of your names on a marquee, I'm going to boycott the movie. I will completely stop going to movies if I have to. In most cases it certainly wouldn't be much of a loss. You scoff at our military who's boots you're not even worthy to shine. They go to battle and risk their lives so ingrates like you can live in luxury. The day of reckoning is coming when you will be faced with the undeniable truth that the war against Saddam Hussein is the war on terrorism. America is in imminent danger. You're either for her or against her. There is no middle ground. I think we all know where you stand. I will stand with the soldiers, airmen, and sailors. The hard working men and women of this great country. Not the overpaid, pansy a*s, Hollywood wimp wanna be's, and has beens, who can't hold a candle to real American's, the middle class blue collar workers. What do you think? Boycott any Hollywood type that protest against the USA. God Bless America Charlie Daniels Please forward to Everybody on your MAIL List - Let Hollywood Hear America. |

Nothing surprising here. I’m familiar with Charlie Daniels who has political leanings to the right of Louis IV and probably considers John Ashcroft a liberal. Anyone who suggests anything short of war is a traitor. No doubt he adheres to this kind of thing but had little, if anything, to do with its composition. These people as well as Bush, who grinds his teeth and scowls at his audiences, look at the coming mess with a kind of glee. I‘ve never seen anything like it. Quote:

Title: Re: Im supporting.... Post by Charlie on Mar 5th, 2003, 7:32pm No Ueli. Charlie Daniels is a Country Western singer with some real talent, who also thinks along the lines of Jerry Falwell, Pat Roberston, and others who would glady throw the switch if it would eliminate other "non Christians." Personally, I can't stand Sean Penn. We all have performers that make us cringe and for me, he's one of them. The thing is, I don't care what his politics is, so long as he isn’t in the Klan. Do I think he was bright going to Iraq? No, I wouldn't want to be in the No Roof Inn with the Air Force rearranging the landscape. There are some on both sides who have an inkling such as Martin Sheen and Dennis Miller for the other side. No matter what you think of them, they know their stuff and are not a traitors. It’s okay not to agree. Many of the rest of them should knock it off as they probably hurt their own cause. That's right, Penn is suing someone. I forgot the details and don't much care what he does. They're stuck over there? Holy shit, that's funny. They could have added a chapter to Steve Allen's book: Dumbth. Yer tern, Charlie |

Title: Re: Im supporting.... Post by Lori on Mar 6th, 2003, 8:32am Ok, I usually don't get into this kind of stuff, but what the heck! I'm in the mood this morning. I believe everyone has a right to think what they want about the war. BUT, as Americans we need to be supportive of OUR OWN COUNTRY and those who go fight for OUR FREEDOM regardless of what we think. OUR president has called OUR troops to FIGHT for OUR FREEDOM, to PROTECT each one of us, to liberate an oppressed people and as AMERICANS, it is OUR duty to support this country instead of BASHING our president and America! Ya know, if those people HATE america sooooo much....let them take their bodies and move to IRAQ. (THis is for those anti-american people~Example~Human shields) They think things are so much better there, let them go and stay there. It's funny how people enjoy the FREEDOM this country gives, but they are not willing to fight for it. No one likes war, but there are times it's justified. I believe(my opinion) this is one of those times. Even if Iraq didn't have weapons of mass destruction, it's still justifiable to liberate the people of Iraq who suffer under Suddam. I hate the thought of war, but sometimes you've got to do whatcha gotta do. We all would love to live in a peaceful world, but face it! It's not going to be that way. There are evil people out there bent on destroying others and others freedoms. I am no expert by any means,,,THANK GOD our PRESIDENT is!! GOD BLESS AMERICA and OUR TROOPS!!! Ok, I'm done.. Have a painfree day everyone.. |

Title: Re: Im supporting.... Post by Ted on Mar 6th, 2003, 12:08pm "Actors should act and shut the fuck up, they know as much about forigen policy as I do and thats NOTHING!!!" Hey Charlie, does Ronald Reagan come to mind? :-) "Why are the human shields now running home but cant get there cause they cant afford it.....LMMFAO!!!!!" I haven't heard that but if it's true it's got me cracking up. I thought they were fucking idiots for pulling that crap from the start. I might be against this war happening now but I also think they are strengthening Saddam's hand to be elusive with his weapons disarmament by giving him any sense of security that he's not under the gun. Not to mention the interviews I've heard before from the human shields who were taken in the early 90s who feel humiliated and like what they went through is being diminished by people VOLUNTEERING for what they were kidnapped for. |

Title: Re: Im supporting.... Post by Charlie on Mar 6th, 2003, 4:53pm I still like the idea of telling Saddam that every time the inspectors are refused entrance to a site, we turn it into rubble with a bunker buster. Shit, if he stays true to form, soon we’ll have made the whole place into a landing strip anyway and have saved a lot of lives...at least on our side. Or: We go for another approach: Keep enough military there to make it too risky for him (and perhaps many others) to do more than be in a snit. If Bush is lucky, one of them will lose it enough to let him give war a chance. His oil-marinated administration might save enough for another billionaire tax cut and let Karl Rove continue dismantling the New Deal. Not to worry though. Too late, and I really hope things go better than even Bush hopes and the WMD backfire if used. I know it’s hard for you to get my drift from these polemics but I pride myself on being vague. :D Charlie 8) |
