Title: Handmade Healing Dolls for O.U.C.H. Auction Post by SommelierCH on Feb 25th, 2003, 6:47pm WYLDE WOMEN OF O.U.C.H.; HANDMADE HEALING DOLLS FOR AUCTION Jill’s mother, Barbara has handmade 5 Healing Dolls, which she has donated to be auctioned off for O.U.C.H. The dolls are 9” tall and 51/2” wide. They are each, an individual and different creation. They each have a unique necklace and belt, handmade. In addition each doll has “OUCH” hand stitched over the heart in either gold or silver thread, just like the one in this picture: http://tinyurl.com/6fwm The first doll to be auctioned is this hot Orange number. Here are 4 pictures of this doll. I can’t even tell you how cool these dolls are. I am fully attached to each one of their individual personalities. Who ever knows a better way to conduct this auction should just let us know what to do, but in the meantime, I will open the bid at $25.00. I would imagine the auction for each doll should last 2 weeks, and the winning bid will send me their address and I will mail the doll to them. Anybody with a better idea, just jump on in. http://tinyurl.com/6fwo http://tinyurl.com/6fw http://tinyurl.com/6fwu http://tinyurl.com/6fwr PFDAN, David J. |

Title: Re: Handmade Healing Dolls for O.U.C.H. Auction Post by RetUSN on Feb 26th, 2003, 7:01pm I thought I should give a little more information on the dolls. This one is a batik print cotton in orange and white, her hair is dyed Lincoln [a breed of sheep] wool. The necklaces and belts are mostly made of recycled jewlery. They are filled with polyfill and are not children's toys. The orginal doll I made was for a friend of Jill's who was diagonsed with cancer last spring. After several frightening weeks the doctors [OOPS!] made a mistake and she didn't have cancer but a correctable growth and today she is fine. I enjoyed making the dolls so I made more and they got partying in the basement and this is how they turned out....I hope you'll bid on them and help OUCH |

Title: Re: Handmade Healing Dolls for O.U.C.H. Auction Post by kissmyglass on Feb 27th, 2003, 12:35am I could put them on Ebay (I'll be happy to pay the fees) Once I get it listed, I could post the item number or link on these message boards so everyone could find it easily. If most of you are not enby users, you could either sign up or get someone to bid for you. Just a thought.... in the meantime I'll bid $32.50..... Kev C |

Title: Re: Handmade Healing Dolls for O.U.C.H. Auction Post by SommelierCH on Feb 27th, 2003, 6:48pm Here is a picture of all 5 “Wylde Women of OUCH” having a little party while I was at work. http://tinyurl.com/6kt Barbara, thanks for letting us know the background of your healing dolls, sounds to me like they work great. I know that they have helped me in the last several weeks get through a car accident, screwed up knee, a full levy on my wages (except for $300 a month) by the IRS (probably losing my car and apartment, can you say “Street Person”), a weird lingering illness, and the failure to complete a restaurant/nightclub in Las Vegas. But, hell I’m a Clusterhead, try to hurt me. On the plus side, I have been nominated for Sommelier of the Year, for the state of California. Coincidence? I think not. Kev C, good suggestion about ebay, however I neglected to include some details about the auction, and the reason for it’s existence, which was posted much earlier. The auction is open to O.U.C.H. members only (it’s free to join, just go to the OUCH site). This is designed to increase the OUCH membership, and to keep people coming back and checking in, even when they are out of cycle. It goes hand in hand with a permanent on-line gallery of Cluster artwork, the “Clusterhead-Art, Crafts and Photography Gallery”. Since most of this site is text based, and reading and typing is sometimes difficult while in cycle, we should have someplace to go that we can just look at visuals. The Cluster community is very creative, and some people such as Barbara could donate their works for an auction, to raise money for OUCH. I’m sure that everyone here is a member of OUCH, but just in case, I will bid $40, for this hot orange number, and essentially we can start from scratch. The purpose is not just to raise money, it is to share the healing with the Cluster family. PFDAN, David J. |

Title: Re: Handmade Healing Dolls for O.U.C.H. Auction Post by CathiP on Feb 27th, 2003, 8:05pm Okay, David- I want the purple one- $45- now that I've seen them all-well, it's kinda like opening a big ole can of worms- well, maybe I'll change my mind....I think I want the one on the left in the pic- Now, here's a good question- with all these dolls partying in your apt- how do you know, specifically which ONE posesses your magic "juju"? Hmmmmm? Maybe YOU should keep them all!! NOW BID AWAY!!!!!! Cathi |

Title: Re: Handmade Healing Dolls for O.U.C.H. Auction Post by SommelierCH on Feb 28th, 2003, 8:39am Mr. Happy, what the hell is a “Prairie Squid”? CathiP, for you to confuse Mr. Happy and a shill, shows me that you haven’t spent much time at the Baccarat Table at Ceasar’s (like who has?). Mr. Happy is a mere shell of a shill. But then again, I’ve never seen him with his legs shaved. CathiP, (again) You are bidding your dolls out of order. For two weeks, the Orange Doll is the one up for auction. You have to take a “penalty bong”. I will take one with you. If you don’t want yours, I’ll take your penalty. PFDAN…..Join OUCH, it’s free. Help us be counted. David J. |

Title: Re: Handmade Healing Dolls for O.U.C.H. Auction Post by CathiP on Feb 28th, 2003, 3:38pm Sheesh, David, can't a girl change her mind? Now that I've seen them all, I'm confused- don't know which one I want.....soooo, my bid still stands, I'll leave it up to the Gods. Barb, I think the dolls are wonderful. I love that the wool is from your own sheep, and that every one is individual. Now, lead me to the Baccarat tables....I'm feelin' lucky!! Cathi |

Title: Re: Handmade Healing Dolls for O.U.C.H. Auction Post by catlind on Feb 28th, 2003, 4:48pm Someone Email me the second that that purple doll (light purple one) is on the block for Auction. That one is MINE. And I will not LOSE ;D Cat |

Title: Re: Handmade Healing Dolls for O.U.C.H. Auction Post by RetUSN on Feb 28th, 2003, 6:36pm I hope it doesn't make a difference but the wool isn't from our sheep. We have a different breed. I bought that wool from the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival last year. |

Title: Re: Handmade Healing Dolls for O.U.C.H. Auction Post by CathiP on Feb 28th, 2003, 8:07pm Bummer, Ralph- I figured you had enough wool that you wouldn't need to BUY it!! No worries, I have some on an angel that Jill sent me for Christmas....at least I assume it's YOUR wool, this time, and I'll just pretend it's Rajibar wool on MY DOLL, when it arrives!! David, I'm still holding at $45......ummmm, I think that's it! Cathi |

Title: Re: Handmade Healing Dolls for O.U.C.H. Auction Post by SommelierCH on Mar 1st, 2003, 9:21am Cathi baby—you’ve gots to read the FINE PRINT. Your $45 bid has to last till the end of the two weeks; that’s Tuesday, March 11 2003 @ 4:47pm Pacific (the time of the first post, just to be as fair as possible). I know you think I must be confused, after I took your penalty bong, but even I know, it’s only been 3.5 days. Nice try though, I did have to look at a calendar. Barbara, just so Ralph doesn’t get miscast as a seamstress, perhaps you should sign your name on your posts, since you share. Also, I was kind of wondering what kind of sheep you have, and if the Lincoln wool was unique? Did you have names for these dolls, or do you just think about their color, like I do? PFDAN….Join OUCH, it’s free. Help us be counted. We can’t change the rules, until they know we exist. David J. |

Title: Re: Handmade Healing Dolls for O.U.C.H. Auction Post by CathiP on Mar 1st, 2003, 1:02pm David- Yup, got that part....just wanted to be sure everyone knew where the bidding was..... I was a bit off about the date/time thing, hadn't considered what TIME the last bid would be accepted...Now, I'm gonna be online!!! Thank you for doing this, David- I really think the Online Gallery is a great idea....so much creativity out there! Wathcing this thread like a hawk-in sheep's clothing! Cathi |

Title: Re: Handmade Healing Dolls for O.U.C.H. Auction Post by SommelierCH on Mar 11th, 2003, 6:55pm Cathi, Sorry, I didn't know it was your birthday. However, I now can let the other Wylde Women of OUCH, move on to their new homes. I had to make sure, that one stayed with me (who says men have lack of commitment?). I actually out-foxed my self and raised my own bid, (I have a 5:00 deadline on another project). Who do I send the money too? No, credit cards (DUH!) can I use "pay-pal"? David J. |

David, sweetie, hunnybaby, I must read the rules to ya! Does my last- and final bid count, or not? Can you answer me this, MR Sommelier? Cathi |

Title: Re: Handmade Healing Dolls for O.U.C.H. Auction Post by CathiP on Mar 11th, 2003, 7:20pm OKAY, OKAY!!!! My post, using the date stamp, is too late, I defer to the Somm on this one......I'll admit, I really prefer one of the others......see how gracious I can be? Can't believe I had the whole thing in control, and forgot about the erroneous date stamp thingie......... I hope she's the one with all your good juju-it is most definitely time for you to have some really good things happen for you. Congratulations- Cathi |

Title: Re: Handmade Healing Dolls for O.U.C.H. Auction Post by SommelierCH on Mar 12th, 2003, 5:24am Cathi, I just SO knew you were waiting until 4:46 to put in your bid at the last possible moment, I thought it would be $60, so at 4:46 (with a slow board…YIKES) I bid $1 more than that. But, because you were in a different time zone, dimension, planet ;D …it looks like I was just bidding against my self. :o Mr. Happy, You’re killing me again. This double bidding thing, is the same thing that keeps me out of professional poker games in Las Vegas. By the way, what does your old “prairie squid” jock strap, have to do with Cathi’s “as*****!”? Barbara, Thank you so much for doing this. My Orange doll means a lot to me now, but when my cycle comes back around again, in 19 months, it will become “double priceless”. You are great. Which doll do y’all want next? Remember, our goal is to find a cure, David J. P.S. Cathi, happy birthday, make a good wish. |

Title: Re: Handmade Healing Dolls for O.U.C.H. Auction Post by CathiP on Mar 12th, 2003, 8:31am BUT, DAVID!!! I'm IN the same time zone as you!!! Let's see....Los Angeles, CA- Portland, OR- by my calculations, we are BOTH on PST!!!! Problem I had, was not a time zone issue- it was a time- stamp issue.....f'rinstance, it is, RIGHT NOW, 6:00am on my clock- my pc shows 6:oo am- BUT- the MB time stamp is registering 6:24am! 24 mins difference- can anyone else attest to this? Oh, and Dear Mr Bitter Bidder- Hey, man, we both lost out to the better bidder(Betty bought some bitter butter....)-BUT- more to come- and they're not ORANGE!!!! So, David, bring out whichever girl you wish, and LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!!!! Cathi |
