Don't know wether to say "Wow! That's some mom!"

Or "Wow! that some sick mom!"

Who's Lebron James? I hope his mom gave him one of the ugliest cars ever made. He can sell it and buy 2 Corvettes. Or one '57 Thunderbird.

Some 6'8" high school kid that is an NBA prospect.  He was temporarily suspended from high-school basketball for accepting a couple of free jerseys from a sporting-goods store.

(and yes, it was an ugly $100,000 car)

had friends in indiana with one roxy, black on black mint, original had been kept for them in a climate controlled bldg. where it got periodic maint, like turning it over topping off fluids. always in museum/ ready to drive shape. had been given to sandi by an appreciative boss of many years (she was doing him on the side)

they moved out to virginia to be near linda and i and started fighting all the time, end ed up seperating then liquidating all there assets. sold the t-bird for somewhere like $15,000 under market. got divorced, moved back to indiana. ended up back together and got re-married minus one beatiful car, two houses and most of thier combined savings. hmmm

and here i am complaning about a little late night dancing :(............ tim

Sensationalism !!! That's what this whole thing is. So what if a kid is going to go right from high school to the NBA. Every year in the NHL, 18 year olds get drafted and signed. This year there are at least two 18 year olds playing in the NHL. Rick Nash for Columbus and Jay Bowmeester for Florida. There's no media frenzy. The kids can live a normal life and their mothers don't do stupid things like buy them 100,000$ cars. Guess what? Their mother's aren't the ones that will earn the major $$$$. If you ask me, that's this kid's mom sayin... all the money you're gonna  make is gonna pay for my extravagance too.

The media sucks... Pro athletes suck, especially basketball and football players that are really overpaid criminals... Oh yeah and baseball players.. They are all on steroids or fat. Baseball a sport?? LMAO.....

das:

I had to check your address.   I knew you were Canadian.  I don't think hockey has been mentioned more than once here yet this winter.

and about baseball.      LMAO.      A bunch of grown men playing a boys game (read: non-contact  ::) ) for buzzillions.

I'd love to see them (or even basketball players) try to play a physical game like hockey of football.   If your making $10,000,000/yr, you should be willing/able to take a shot for the team.

Being from Montreal, I guess your a Habs fan. At least your not a Leafs fan.  ;D   (and no!!!  I hate the phlegms Flames.)   Canucks rule!

grant    8)

Canucks vs Sens in the final  :D

Roxy......don't know if you can sell kids. If you find out please let me know. I have a couple that I'd like to sell. They live across the street from me. ;)

CathiP.....no Vette joke this time.  Just that Vette prices go down with age. Except maybe the ’63-’64 Grand Sport. ’55-’57 T-Bird prices go up. Haven’t got the motor yet. Zackery said just today, in his 3 year old tough-guy voice, “Grandpa, when are WE going to get OUR hot rod motor”.

Linda H….How about you building a bitchin’ 55 T-Bird?  Go here and check out the Custom Regal Thunder

Curling is more interesting than basketball.  :o

Baseball is a perfect sport. The reason? Simple: At any time, the worst player can change the complexion of a game and win it for his team. The worst team will always win a few games. It's a game of law, rules, and educated guesses. Not many get hurt, and it's fun to yell at the ump.   :D

It's also not for everyone and that's part of its appeal. I don't follow it like I used to though. Dad was involved with our class A team board and mom never missed a game. Always had free tickets too.  8) Gave them away all the time.

Don't know why I'm posting this ....

Curling is much more interesting than what passes for basketball at the NBA level.  I'll give you that Charlie and Cat...however, (there's always a however!  ;D) If you want to see real basketball, you got to watch the NCAA March Madness championship.  Now that is basketball!!!  And let's not forget, it was invented by a Canadian!  ;D ;D  Not the tourney, the game!  Curling is a lot of fun too...and again...dominated by Canadians..hehe  I'm on a roll...shall I mention hockey, also dominated by Canadians...(sorry...I'm having a little fun here)  and for you football fans...Go Alouettes Go!

Charlie... I have no clue why I posted that either!   ::)
