Here's a list of inexpensive medicaments:

rectum suis (pig rectum) and many more intestine parts, anus bovis (not a very nice person of the cow), penis bovis, penis suis, vagina suis, testes suis (pig testicle), testes embryonales bovis (embryonic testicle of the cow), cinis (ash), pix (pitch), formica rufa (red forest ant), vespa grabro (hornet), coccinella septempunctata (ladybird), fly agaric and death cap, nux vomica, onyx, opal, sapphire, ruby, granite, dens suis (pig tooth), lingua bovis (bovine tongue), leech extractions, all animal glands up to lacrymal glands, fel tauri and fel piscis (bile of bull or fish), bufo rana (toad).

No, you guessed wrong ;D

This is not an extract from a medieval pharmacopoeia.

It is of contemporary origin.

Mrs. Ulla Schmidt, minister for health and social security, tries to reduce costs of health care in Germany by proposing a new law. One of its cardinal points is that the health insurances only have to pay for proven, efficacious medicaments, those that are included in a "white list". (Of course, any treatment for a clusterhead, besides ordinary pain killers and head shrinking, would be considered 'experimental' and, therefore, not paid for, duh.)

Believe it or not, but above enumeration is part of the draft for that "white list". >:(

Isn't it amazing what kinds of "experts" get paid out of the tax payers pocket? ::)
