80% of all the e-mail I get comes from people on this board (Yes, I need a life ) and there is a dozen forwarded text jokes in my mail everyday, I dont open them, I dont read them, I delete them as soon as I see "FW".

Please take me off your mass mailling, Thank you for thinking of me but I hate text jokes and I dont like my addy being circulated to folks I dont know.

I know exactly what you are talking about Jonny. I usually send back a message that I actually keep in my mailbox that was fwded 7 times before it got to me....when they get to the last one, I just type a message that says, "wasn't that annoying?"

Also that is a method "spammers" use to get emaill addy's.

So, in conclusion, please nobody ,mass email me FWD materials either.

I get the same thing here but mostly I get inane jokes and cartoons from old friends. So far I open 90% of the stuff but I groan when I see four from the same goof I've known for 25 years.

What I don't do is forward......anything. I've told them that I'm a black hole for them. What I have done is copy and paste in parts of jokes I know someonewill like but...forward? Never.

I rarely forward anything...I do what Charlie does sumtimes if it's 'really' cool and cut and paste parts ta send.....I hate gettin them mile long borein jokes and stories forwarded....by the time I read 5 lines I fergot what the story was 'bout. I dispise gettin them 'this really worked for me' crap mail that if forward ta 5 people everyone gets "paid" !!!!! I got friends that believe that sheeit !! (they also believe Easter bunnies lay eggs)......Pam the no spam mam.......... ;D

The subject matter has to be pretty damned compelling for me to forward something. Mostly crap I get from my mom trying to convert my political opinions. Telling her outright to knock it off has worked so does anyone have any suggestions to make her quit?
