Folks,

I've been placed in charge of coming up with some ideas for an off-site meeting my deaprtment is having (we have about 15 folks in our dept.). Basically, what I charged with is coming up with some ideas for team-building.

We had an idea a few days ago (not mine) where each of us was to send a baby picture of your self in and then, presumably, the other people had to guess who was who...

Anyway, this would have been a good ice-breaker since our dept. is in 3 different corporate locations (Columbia, JAX-Florida-, and Atlanta) and we do not get to see one another all that much nor do we KNOW one another all that well.

Can any of you "corporate types" out there ;D maybe throw some ideas my way which would be fun and engaging for us to get to KNOW each other? Break the ice? etc.

Nothing too awfully involved, just something fun...I am stumped, my time is drawing nigh, and everything I've been looking for on the web costs which is not an issue, but I just do not have time to get it in before the meeting...

ANY ideas would be GREAT!!!!

Make up questions for everyone to answer as an ice breaker and then you can learn more about them. Such as:
What is your favorite animal at the zoo?
Tell us about your favorite pet that you ever had.
If you could change your career and start over what would you be?
Describe the favorite car you owned and why it was your favorite.
If you could change your name what would it be changed to?
What is your favorite flower?
What is your favorite month?

Just make up questions to get them thinking and sharing about themselves. That way people get a chance to learn and know something about there co-worker. Limit it to just a couple of questions.

FUBAR,

I like this idea except if you saw the, ahem, people in my department, we'd have to have a heavy dose of phenegran waiting in the wings for after for the sheer nausea.

Hi!

Place a postit on each person's back with the name of a person, place or thing. They have to find out who or what they are by asking questions that can only be answered by yes or no.

We did that once and laughed our headoffs. Good luck!

2 suggestions....

If they are outdoors type, try a paint-ball mission ;D

That was a blast!

Another one is.... maybe your area will have one of these.

Murder/Mystery Dinner shows... This is where your group(s) go to a theatre for dinner, then a murder occurs... Your group(s) will be tasked to solve the murder. kind of like "Clue". :D

That was fun too! ;D

Had a questionere deal one time at a party ta git things hoppin....everyone was handed pages ta answer questions first off bout yerself....all sorts of stuff like music style and dress and party preferences....wish I could find the list on the net.....but ya'd turn the papers in that was stapled tagether. (bout 3 pages)....then someone'd read em out loud but NO ONE was ta put there name on em or let others know what they wrote. (like worst expierince with a cop or at a bar...worst date or job...use yer imageination)....questions that mite 'hint' who someone is or throw ya totally off)....turned out ta be a blast. Did any of this make sense.....it's actually a popular party game....we all thought it was korny at first till they started readin each page and lettin us guess who it mite be after the last question. Jus a korny idea......oh hell I quit.....Pam ;D

Each person tells two lies and one truth about themselves. The rest try to guess which is the true one.

If available in your area. Rent two goats. Divide the group into two teams. Supplies needed (other than the goats) two each -- blue jeans, shirts. Four pairs of socks and boots. The objective is to see which team is the first to successfully dress the goat.
