Title: Re: Carolina's and Georgia Clusterheads Post by Silver_Dolphins on Jan 6th, 2003, 6:12pm Thanks for the words Marty. Even if only one person wants to meet, I will gladly. I was thinking of sending a email to all Ga/Carolinas' members here, but I dunno how kosher that would be.\ PFDAN Silver Dolphins |

Title: Re: Carolina's and Georgia Clusterheads Post by marty on Jan 6th, 2003, 6:27pm when I sent the first messages for the CalOUCH, I sent one to everybody listed under "where we live" and suprisingly enough, I got about 45 answers.. all positive! I found that many that are registered are not active on this board and they were very pleased to get a mail regarding their CH and to find that someone was willing to do something - I did not get a lot of response from this board - most of came from my e-mails. So go out there and kick some Southern butt and they will respond to you. You may be surprised as to how much they appriciate (spelled wrong?) your efforts. If you want, send me an e-mail and I will give you a copy of the message that I sent in CA. Marty |

Title: Re: Carolina's and Georgia Clusterheads Post by Brian_Y on Jan 13th, 2003, 1:09pm I have been out of the country for a few days and I come back to see this particular message and no update....Is there one? I am looking forward to meeting some of you if possible. I was reading another unrelated post about a person who left for a while, only to return when the pain did. Been guilty of that myself and I think it important for us to show solidarity whenever possible. Any new thoughts to a South Carolina connection? I'm in Columbia, but have not heard from anyone... Yours, B |

Title: Re: Carolina's and Georgia Clusterheads Post by Silver_Dolphins on Jan 13th, 2003, 4:42pm Hi Brian and welcome back. I hope your travels were good. Right now, Nancy and I have slated March 1st as the date. THIS IS NOT SET IN STONE. Nancy and I are going to meet at some point this week to discuss the particulars. Do you have any concerns you would like to see addressed? PFDAN Barry |
Title: Re: Carolina's and Georgia Clusterheads Post by Brian_Y on Jan 21st, 2003, 4:10pm Barry, Have been out of touch for a while and get back and see this. How is the planning coming? As far as issues I'd like to see addressed, nothing comes to mind right this second expect for perhaps physician options...They are fairly lilmited around here, but I do not want that to take away from the non Columbia (or, for that matter, non SC folks). B |
Title: Re: Carolina's and Georgia Clusterheads Post by Silver_Dolphins on Jan 21st, 2003, 4:53pm Brian, I take the statement about physicians meaning you would like to see a guest lecturer? If so, we might be able to arrange someything. My neuro might be interested. I can always ask, if there is an interest. The cost would be the factor. I don't know too many professionals that dispense advise/knowledge for free. I work in accounting, and I would not do consultants work for free. Nancy had to postpone our meet til this Monday and we will have more information sent both in this MB and a mass email to all SC/NC/GA/FL clusterheads. Sorry for the delays, but some times circumstances are really beyond our control. PFDAN Barry |
Title: Re: Carolina's and Georgia Clusterheads Post by Brian_Y on Jan 21st, 2003, 8:22pm Barry, No need to apologize AT ALL!! I too am at the mercy of work, family, et al. Whenever you find anything out, I'll be around. As for your doctor question, I was referring to a discussion amongst US on who we see, advantages, etc. It may be difficult for those people who do not actively participate here to know who they should see, who's best for CHs, etc. Does that make sense?? |
Title: Re: Carolina's and Georgia Clusterheads Post by Silver_Dolphins on Jan 22nd, 2003, 6:08pm Hi Brian, Thank you for turning the light on. I can be pretty dense at times. We could definately have sometinng along that line. I don't know how formal we want to make this. Do we want more of a "mixer" with general information ? Luncheon? I am lost as far as an agenda. I am certain Nancy will have plenty of ideas. Of course, until we get a firm number of attendees, we will have to have a few variations of the same themes. I think a more casual "get to know each other" type of function would be best. But that is JMHO. Take Care, Barry |
Title: Re: Carolina's and Georgia Clusterheads Post by nancyc on Jan 22nd, 2003, 11:49pm I agree, Barry..think the first meeting should be really informal...getting to know each other..(hey, Slammy, are you coming LOL)....will see you tomorrow at 6pm...Applebee's...Brian, if you would like to meet with us then, give me a call...we will be at the Applebees on Hwy. 1, West Columbia...smiles, nancyc |
Title: Re: Carolina's and Georgia Clusterheads Post by Slammy on Jan 23rd, 2003, 3:06pm Are you nuts? It's friggin snowin in Columbia, SC.! :o I'll just hang out here at the beach in Malibu! ;D Slammy http://www.uselessgraphics.com/devil09.gif |

Title: Re: Carolina's and Georgia Clusterheads Post by Silver_Dolphins on Jan 23rd, 2003, 4:23pm It's not that bad, Slammy. When it snows here, most people get a free day off. Of course, it cleared as fast as it hit, but at least the roads didn't freeze over. Two weeks of winter isn't bad. We could have real winter like the folks in the Dakotas or Minnesota. The golf courses and beaches will be nice in a month. Until then I will enjoy the cooler climate. PFDAN SD |
Title: Re: Carolina's and Georgia Clusterheads Post by nancyc on Jan 23rd, 2003, 4:45pm OFcourse, i already had the day off so i did not get a free snow day...just my luck LOL..snow in SC, a big joke..it never stays around long. Back to work tomorrow....smiles,nancyc |
