when I sent the first messages for the CalOUCH, I sent one to everybody listed under "where we live" and suprisingly enough, I got about 45 answers.. all positive!

I found that many that are registered are not active on this board and they were very pleased to get a mail regarding their CH and to find that someone was willing to do something - I did not get a lot of response from this board - most of came from my e-mails.

So go out there and kick some Southern butt and they will respond to you. You may be surprised as to how much they appriciate (spelled wrong?) your efforts.

If you want, send me an e-mail and I will give you a copy of the message that I sent in CA.

I know of another clusterhead here in Columbia, sc...brian...who i am sure would be interested. Would invite Donna H. but she is scared to fly LOL...maybe she could drive here. Ok, we got 53 in Georgia including Elaine and Mia ...33 in SC including me, Dolphin and Brian.......and 60 in NC including Trip,Glenda and Van....we got a good start..let me know what I can do...will be glad to email the ones listed in these states inviting them...will have you at my house if you want me to...will do whatever I can...i love meeting clusterheads..went to atlanta, florida and mass. to meet clusterheads...it was the experience of a lifetime...memories i hold very dear to me..Got lots of smiling photos of those gatherings too....smiles,nancyc

My company has a division in Raleigh, NC ( actually, it's in Morrisville) and I need to check up on it from time to time. Keep me in the loop on any " Family Reunions" ;D

Hello....As Nancy said, I am in Columbia, SC and would be interested if it were near-ish here. I have a 2 year old, travel a good deal with my job as it is and I am not sure how "happy" the wife would be, all good intentions notwithstanding, of course....

I am right here in the United States of Tennesse! I would love to visit yall, even the Yankees AND the left coasters. 2 out of 3 of the last conventions have been 1/2 days drive from here. I just had not found you guys yet, but I'm here now. Get anywhere near me and I will be there!

I have been out of the country for a few days and I come back to see this particular message and no update....Is there one? I am looking forward to meeting some of you if possible. I was reading another unrelated post about a person who left for a while, only to return when the pain did. Been guilty of that myself and I think it important for us to show solidarity whenever possible.

Any new thoughts to a South Carolina connection? I'm in Columbia, but have not heard from anyone...

Have been out of touch for a while and get back and see this. How is the planning coming?

As far as issues I'd like to see addressed, nothing comes to mind right this second expect for perhaps physician options...They are fairly lilmited around here, but I do not want that to take away from the non Columbia (or, for that matter, non SC folks).

I take the statement about physicians meaning you would like to see a guest lecturer?

If so, we might be able to arrange someything. My neuro might be interested. I can always ask, if there is an interest. The cost would be the factor. I don't know too many professionals that dispense advise/knowledge for free. I work in accounting, and I would not do consultants work for free.

Nancy had to postpone our meet til this Monday and we will have more information sent both in this MB and a mass email to all SC/NC/GA/FL clusterheads.

Sorry for the delays, but some times circumstances are really beyond our control.

No need to apologize AT ALL!! I too am at the mercy of work, family, et al. Whenever you find anything out, I'll be around. As for your doctor question, I was referring to a discussion amongst US on who we see, advantages, etc. It may be difficult for those people who do not actively participate here to know who they should see, who's best for CHs, etc.

Does that make sense??

Thank you for turning the light on. I can be pretty dense at times.

We could definately have sometinng along that line.

I don't know how formal we want to make this. Do we want more of a "mixer" with general information ? Luncheon? I am lost as far as an agenda. I am certain Nancy will have plenty of ideas. Of course, until we get a firm number of attendees, we will have to have a few variations of the same themes.

I think a more casual "get to know each other" type of function would be best. But that is JMHO.

It's not that bad, Slammy. When it snows here, most people get a free day off. Of course, it cleared as fast as it hit, but at least the roads didn't freeze over. Two weeks of winter isn't bad. We could have real winter like the folks in the Dakotas or Minnesota.

The golf courses and beaches will be nice in a month. Until then I will enjoy the cooler climate.
