Hi everyone! I am not a CH'er, but a supporter. My husband (wcork) found this site the first of November and I have been lurking since then, but finally decided to join. He went through a 3-4 remission after being chronic for 10 years and then last november, they came back with avengence!!

I have done a TON of research and this site has helped SOOOOO much!! My thanks to all of you!! It took a while, but we finally found him a headache specialist that really seems to know about clusters. He is now doing better, getting only 1 or 2 a day and finally getting sleep. He has Imitrex injections, on O2 (15lpm with a nonrebreather) and in on depakote and 240 mg of verapamil. He did have a occipital nerve block and we think that helped as well. He had one that did not do anything, but then the Dr said he might have missed the "right" spot and asked to try it again at no charge - and this time it seemed to help a LOT.

Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself, say hello, and I will also be putting a tip we found that helps on the treatments board. I havent seen it mentioned here so thought I would list it.

Welcome. I'm glad you found this family. Sorry you had to though. But none the less, welcome. Your husband is lucky to have a supporter like you. I do, and it makes it alot easier to deal with. So my hats off to you for being there for him.

Sounds like you have some of the best treatment already started. If you have something that works and haven't seen it posted here, let us know about it! It may give another relief.

Just another hug and a thanks, my supporter of 28 years is all that's kept me sane...she's also the one that found this board for me! You supporters have it as bad or worse then us since all you can do at times is juat watch.......we do appreciate you! ;)

I am a supporter for my husband who has CH. He is out of cycle now but I stay around to try to provide support for others.

Glad to meet you and I am happy to hear your husband has found the med combos that work for him.

Thank you soooooo much for being YOU!!!!! And doing what you do for your husband. It's so true what Jonny said...if it weren't for supporters like you we would either go insane or be dead. Everyone here on this site are my supporters. I dont really have anyone else to support me but my young children who are 7 and 10 and I try not to burden them. But they are truely a blessing. They do understand moms ch's and kiss my head when i am having a hit to try to make it go away...gosh if only that worked!!!!!!

But please keep up the great job and THANK YOU AGAIN!!!
