Title: Do you belive in Mediums/ Sprit Healers? Post by mummymac on May 9th, 2008, 5:15pm This will sound strange even a little bit cookcoo to you, it does to me. I went to a body and soul festival on Monday, I had two readings. One by a medium and one by an Aura reading (takes a photo of your Aura and then does a reading - Very pretty colours) Both these people spent over an hour each with me, It was supposed to be 15 minutes and they reacon I am a medium (in waiting) and one reacons I am a spirit healer as well, both think I have reached a point in my life where I am ready to move on and be trained , I call it Mid- life crisis. I attended this festival last year , I had one reading and was told the same thing but this year they were much more insistant that I do something about it. I am supposed to attend workshops etc and if need be to get in contact with a spiritulist church who should be able to help me- Do I need help, should I get help? Has anyone every heard of this happening to anyone, would they just be pulling my leg. I do not know how to react to this, part of me would love to be some old lady that can see spirits and read cards, (I could be rich I tell you rich) but what if it is a Legg pulling and I cannot do/see anything, how stupid would that be and how silly would I feel. I am sounding out loud really as it was the most unexpected thing to be told, I do not know how to handle this information, do I act on it or ingnore it. Please feel free to voice your opinions as I am on the fence with this. |

I used to know a 'pyschic' who fed that line to every person they ever saw... it is one of the very basic things they do. Think of it like any other convention... they want more people involved. It is an industry. That doesn't make it wrong, or evil, but you have to take what they tell you with a grain of salt. |

They COULD be legit ... somewhere in between all the fakers and charlatans. Should you go for training? Sure! Why not? What can it hurt, really? Maybe it will come to something, and maybe it won't. But you will never know unless you try! Myself, I am too curious to let a chance like this pass me by. Even if it is just to find out that the ones that I am "training" under are quacks, the experience would make it worth while. Chuck |

However, there are people who have perceptive abilities the rest of us don't. FACT. I have seen a few people who have helped the Police solve murders with incredible accuracy !!! Without knowing a single fact of the case, they have told the Police things that they couldnt have possibly known even if they watched the news....things Police intentionally withhold. Things like the body being posed a certain way...that it is near a building with orange metal siding, will find the murder weapon in the trunk of a junk car on the property etc. etc. To me, it has been proven beyond any reasonable doubt that there are some people with incredible abilities we will never understand. Now how one could go about taking "medium classes" seems odd to me. If you wanna go for entertainment...why not? Just don't get scammed into spending money or something stupid like that.
