Hi all, it has been a while since I have been on. I am soooooo busy I can't see straight. Any way the reason for my post is ever since Davcon my family and I once a month were going to the Steeplegate hotel for our microvacations. You know we relax the kiddies get to swim plus it is a very nice hotel. Well as of JUNE 1st or 08 the hotel will be 100% NON-SMOKING. Well I shouldn't say 100% they are allowing 20% of the rooms to still be smoking ,but the area that we all hang out in will be NON-SMOKING. Now that sucks.Looks like we will have to move Davcon to your town Bill. I have no problem with Wisconsin. I do know one thing I will not go were I can't smoke. I am totally bummed out about it to cause we liked going there. It looks like my family will be taking our microvacations in Milwaukee. So Bill I will be giving you a call maybe catch a Brewer game. Anyway I just thought I would let you guys know about the new No Smoking Laws in Iowa

I expected that. I was talking to the manager about that very thing and he said then that he was hearing that they were gonna go smoke free withing the next 6 months. I guess he was right.

Perhaps another location in a different state with more liberal smoking laws could be found.

Ummm....remember who Californias  senators are...Boxer and Feinstein.......if those two lovely ladies had their way smoking would be prohibited period!!!!! We now have entire cities where it is illegal to smoke IN PUBLIC!!!! Sigh.........the freedoms we allow our elected officials to take away from us.........

I'm tellin ya Brew busy would be an understatement. I will be stickin my head in from time to time. And I'm trying to get my lovely wife to come work for me to lighten my work load,if that happens I will have much more free time. I just wanted to tell you guys about the no smoking thing at the Steeplegate. I know I was pretty bummed out about it when I found out. Figured I would fill everybody in. Later all. We are going to Lake Geneva and staying at the Grand Resort there 5/28-5/30 for my birthday.  I can't wait to golf the brute I think it is called.

The Brute is awesome!  Last time I played there, it was 175.00 for greens fees, that was about eight years ago.

man that was one smoky room at davcon. maybe we could all meet in a field in the summer time and set up some tents and  i could park my truck nearby and open the doors and crank up the stereo. then we could all stand on my trailer and give jonny the finger and take pictures. we could smoke and drink and live free again! we'll call it clusterpolooza. ;)
    i think California would be very tolerant of us 3 pack a dayers. and us truckdrivers just love that state.  ::)
    wisconsin would be cool. no pun intended. what ever you veterans decide to do be sure and let me know. i don't think i'm going to be able to make dallas this time around :'(
