Sahara, Gators grandaughter and apple of his eye is having surgery to remove her tonsils today. She has been very poorly and unable to breathe and I'm not sure of they are doing anything else as well.

Now as you all know Sahara is the besterest lasagne maker in the whole world and she needs to get better really quickly because I have been promised lasagne for dinner when I go to visit and she has to be well enough to make it!

Sahara, here's lots of love from England for you and I know there will be lots and lots more coming from all over the world. PawPaw will help you read this when you're feeling better.

Sahara - When I got my tonsils out, I was 10. Afterwards, I got to eat as much ice cream and Jello as I could hold. Be sure to hit Grampa and Gramma up for as much as YOU can hold.

I still remember getting my tonsils out... and there was this creepy boy that kept looking over this cubicle at me... and my dog chewed my blanket while I was in the hospital and made me sad... I was 3...

Big giant vibes going out to you honey... you be well and take care... no talking, rest, and relax... and like Barb said ... GET THE ICECREAMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!

A huge Thank You to you all! Sahara made it through the surgeries with no problems. She had a tonsilectomy, an adenoidectomy and had tubes put in her ears.

She made it very clear to everyone that she wanted to go home with Pawpaw Mike, so I'm tending to her while she heals. Daddy works nights and sleeps days and Mommy has her hands full with a year and a half old tornado, so it just made sense that she go where she could get 24/7 ~~spoiling~~ medical attention.

She's definitely taking advantage of the endless ice cream, popsicles and jello. Her throat is understandably sore and that makes her whiny and cranky at times, but she is doing great. She even helped me make her some blue jello yesterday.

Again, thank you for all the prayers, vibes and well wishes. I'm gonna print this thread out so she can see what GREAT people she has in her extended family!

Hi Gator,

Glad that your granddaughter is doing well! When my little girl got her T&A out, around the fourth or fifth day she kind of seemed more uncomfortable. She even ran a little bit of a fever. Doc said that it was normal. By about the sixth day she was back to normal! Just thought I'd mention it in case the same happens to her.

Hope she is all better soon!
