Title: Re: who owns theyre own O2 regulator? Post by ClusterChuck on May 6th, 2008, 2:21am Right now, I have 5 ... 3 for "E" tanks, and 2 for "M" tanks. I own them all. I, like Jonny, have bought quite a few, from eBay, and given them away. There are several of us, that will supply a sufferer with whatever they need, in order to get on the oxygen band wagon. We all look out for each other, in whatever way we can. Sometimes, it is just a kind word, or PM, or phone call. Chuck |

Title: Re: who owns theyre own O2 regulator? Post by Annette on May 6th, 2008, 3:04am Be careful that you get the right regulator that will fit our Australian tanks. Ours are different from the US ones and they are much more costly. We own our one but only because I could buy them cheap through work, otherwise you will be looking at about $300 for one. |

Title: Re: who owns theyre own O2 regulator? Post by Gator on May 6th, 2008, 7:44am I own one CGA-870 regulator and one CGA-540 regulator. Both go up to 15lpm. Thinking about looking for a 25lpm model of each. Either that or doing the Mr. Happy retrofit to pump up the volume. |

Title: Re: who owns theyre own O2 regulator? Post by cash5542 on May 6th, 2008, 8:05am I bought 2 last summer on E bayfor Lisa when I too realized how much my insurance was charging me to rent. Also they would only rent one at a time. It was like changing car seats when you have two cars! Everytime she went out with the small tank she had to change the regulator then change it back. Title: Re: who owns theyre own O2 regulator? Post by jon019 on May 6th, 2008, 8:08pm have owned since the late 80's, after I finally convinced insurance co that the "rent" they were paying was ridiculous. later lost that insurance but kept the rig. current insurance made a "mistake" recently and started charging me monthly rent on my e-tank setup (which I OWN). They wanted $61/mo for a regulator and a two wheeled cart!!!!! I couldn't get on the phone fast enough. buy your own regards, Jon |

Title: Re: who owns theyre own O2 regulator? Post by jon019 on May 6th, 2008, 10:27pm Hey Linda, No wife (sigh!, who would want to live with a grumpy old clusterhead? oops, a whole bunch here). No cat either, (Sigh!, no pets allowed.) But, I DID trip over a couple piles of "stuff" (no wife, kids, or cats, "stuff" just piles up doncha know?). Yup, you need us, we screw you, ("its just business"-Vito Corleone). I'm fast adding to my hate-on list. Insurance companies still occupy top rung, O2 suppliers (who used to be best buddies) coming up fast on the rail. Best, Jon |

As im a episodic when i first started on O2, i just hired the whole kit. Didnt think to look at buying one. Just noticed when i picked mine up on Thursday that O2 bottle hire $8 month, Reg $18 month and about $11 a refill. Times have hit (with Turts jnr on the way) where i scrutinise all my expenses. Will be purchasing one this week. And thanks Annette, i'll be careful about which 1 i get. Found a "three pronged side winder" style reg that suits airliuide bottle foe $23 US. Turts |

Title: Re: who owns theyre own O2 regulator? Post by superhawk2300 on May 8th, 2008, 9:32am I think mine comes with the tanks, so I rent. Iti is a 12 lpm one and work well enough. That being said I guess I would like to buy one of those "variable speed" ones but have not looked to hard. |

Title: Re: who owns theyre own O2 regulator? Post by Langa on May 8th, 2008, 1:55pm I just got one from one of my "angels" here. I don't have the tank yet, but Gordo is picking one up soon and knowing my angel she sent me the right one. Just want to be ready for when I do go in cycle, if I do. I'm praying I don't and that the stinging feeling I feel behind my eye is a fluke thing. I haven't opened the regulator yet, which was wrapped in bubble wrap I think. Don't wanna jinx anything. I love you to "my angel" (and all my angels that have seen me through some really tough cycles). Hugs, Langa |

Title: Re: who owns theyre own O2 regulator? Post by Sandy_C on May 8th, 2008, 2:44pm There are a humongous number of angels on these boards, aren't there. I love our angels. To the subject, I have one 540 regulator that another "angel" helped me to get. Sandy |
