Okay - I've woken up feeling all happy and joy to the world sort of stuff so make the most of it 'cos you know it won't last!

I promise (and I know I'm going to regret this!) That anyone standing for the Board of Directors on OUCH will be exempt from being picked on by me for AT LEAST eight hours every day.

I can't be fairer than that now can I?!

I'd like to add more to that too.. supporters or sufferers isn't a qualification. CH hits all in contact with it and the impact is far reaching. We need to consider EVERYONE affected by CH and we need input from EVERYONE affected by CH.

How long you've suffered is irrelevant. It doesn't hurt any more or less.

How long you've been around here is even more unimportant. Passion and willingness to help doesn't have a "Use By" date.

If you've been here ten years or five minutes you have something to share.

WE NEED YOU!

Quite simply put.. there are no advocates for us.

There are no meds for "us"

Everything we have is second hand..

AND THAT WILL NEVER CHANGE UNLESS WE CHANGE IT!!

We have to do something, we can't sit on our hands. Every single person here can do something, be it for an hour a week, an hour a month or an hour a year.

No effort is wasted.

Right now, the biggest enemy we have isn't the beast. It's our own apathy and it's making me cry. Literally.

Hi,

I did join OUCH after reading many of your posts here.  Not sure what I can offer though.  Though I have suffered from CH for many years, I am not very educated about them.  I have gained more knowledge here that I ever thought I could.  Most people that I talk to about our condition have never heard of it.  I agree that more needs to be done.  I just don't know what I can do.

  Do you have any experience working with non-profit organizations?

  Do you have a business background?

  Do you have a fund-raising background?

  Are you able to organize activities?

  etc...

One of the things you're already doing Jean, is educating yourself on cluster headaches and everything that goes along with them. THAT is a definite pre-requisite.

and if I hadn't said it before...WELCOME!

Helen has never picked on you that I have seen.  As a matter of fact...except for Paul and the sheep pics, most of who she DOES pick on,  are in her own country.

Yeah - I NEVER pick on Jeff or Kevin or Goatie or Chewy or ... anyone! I'm just a little angel  :) I even have a halo.

Ting Tong and Dape don't count 'cos Dape is my "big" brother and Ting Tong.. well he's just target practice.

As for Paul, he always starts it so that doesn't count EITHER.
