Title: Cost of 02 Post by Linda_Howell on Apr 27th, 2008, 5:11pm Pat, I pay 10.00 for an E-tank which is what the majority of us use. I have no Ins. but even when I did the 02 supplier billed my Ins. for 42.00. They paid a whopping 10.00 and I was left to pay the rest. I went and sat down with the supplier, had a heart to heart and we came to an agreement for a cash pay of 10.00 per tank. You do need to have a script for it however. Can you rent or buy a used welding tank and regulator? You don't need a script for that and you take it in to be filled and the 02 is the same as medical grade. Just don't tell them it's for medical use. PLEASE.... I have a M-tank which is about 4 times larger. than an e-tank. Hope this helps a little. |

Title: Re: Cost of 02 Post by syrs842 on Apr 27th, 2008, 7:27pm Thanks Linda it does I am going to prin out a lot of materials for my doctor and have her read it. Not only do I have CH I was just diagnosed with regular (if there is such a thing) migraines. So I have a double whammy. I've been on new meds which I don't care much for because I have no ambition and I have so much to do, laundry, house work etc. I have to force myself to get up and walk around. This really sucks. I can afford that and hopefully I can find a place as nice as yours. Thanks Pat |

Title: Re: Cost of 02 Post by DennisM1045 on Apr 27th, 2008, 8:06pm Breath ;) I don't go anywhere without an e-tank and my backpack in the car when I'm in cycle. Kids baseball games, track meets, dance recitals, work (I use it right in my cube), restaurants, weddings, funerals, ... It doesn't matter. I stop what I'm doing and breath. 10-15 minutes later, 25 minutes tops, and I'm back living my life again. Thanks to Oxygen, I'm no longer afraid to go out and live my life. -Dennis- |

Title: Re: Cost of 02 Post by Linda_Howell on Apr 27th, 2008, 8:06pm The e-tanks from the medical supplier are usually on a little cart with a handle and wheels. They are very easily put in the car. The medical supplier that a LOT of us use is either Lincare or Apria. They are both nationwide, just look them up in the phone book under medical supplers or under oxygen equipment. I prefer Apria myself. I have been told that 02 also works pretty good for Migraines. |
