Looking at everyones beautiful photos made me want to share these.  I finally get it when people talk about the light, but I am not very good yet at getting it right.

I now have my new computer and am in the middle of sorting out my photos into files etc etc etc..

I came across these which rank in my favorites, taken 2 years ago in the New Forest during a picnic the wild ponies just strolled along to see what was going on, it was a fabulous day .

Tanya... those photos are absolutely enchanting. What wonderful luck for you to have a camera at just the perfect time... and how grateful I am that you chose to use the camera when you did... Absolutely beautiful.

The New Forest is wonderful, I love it there and it's a very magical kind of a place. It's full of New Forest Ponies which roam wild and you can't visit there without seeing some which is just thrilling. My children have loved it when we've been there oh and in spite of it being called "New" it's very old! It was named by William the Conqueror so it's over 1000 years old.

Tanya, Kirsty is so like you - she's your minime!!  :)

The horses seem to make nice characters for children's book illustrations.


Renaming things "New" in England goes back a long way I guess,
continuing here with New York, New Jersey, even New England.  
Despite some long unusual names for towns in England, had history
reversed and we explored and settled England, get an idea here of
the name possibilities that may have happened on the isle.      :)

Horses are my favourite 4 legged animal - those are lovely.  You're very fortunate to have such a beautiful place to visit.

Thank you everyone, I am glad you like them.  I think I will get these framed as I do think they are some of my best.

You wouldn't belive how many I take that are blurred, out of focus, in bad light , fingers in the way ec etc etc , most of the photos are just for memories of events , gatherings etc .  my family all like to see them
