Here's a dining concept that'll make your head — if not your stomach — spin: It's dinner at a table suspended 165 feet in the air with chairs that swivel 180 degrees.
Dubbed Dinner in the Sky, the attraction is making its U.S. debut Monday in Orlando at the annual International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions convention. About 25,000 attendees are expected at the one-stop-shopping event, where the amusement industry rolls out new thrill rides and related products.
The high-flying dining venue was introduced i n Europe last year and consists of a platform suspended from a crane. Guests are harnessed into 22 seats, with space in the center for a chef and two helpers.

Not a chance! :o And I sure as heck would not be anywhere under them either just in case of  [smiley=hurl.gif]

I guess for some it would be a thrill to try, it is just so not me!

Wow... talk about "High end dining".

I noticed the piano but where's the restrooms?

I don't think I'd have a problem eating there... I am terrified of heights so I'm sure it would have to be something light.

Nice find Tanya.

with warm regards,
Tony

People actually are going to EAT!  FOOD!  While suspended 156 feet.  I don't think so.  I ate dinner at the Capstone Resturant at the University of South Caroline once.  The dining room sits atop a nice tall spire and the resturant revolves...very slowly.  I still got queasy and had to bolt for the elevator.

Hey, but to each his or her own.  I prefer to hold my food in long enough to gain the nutritional value from it.  :D

No.

Clumsy waiters.  Something hot gets spilled in a lap.  Diner springs to his feet--discovers that there is no floor.  Rapidly fading shrieks.  Stunned silence all around.  Dessert is not served.

Best,

George

LMAO! George, you always crack me up with your replies.

The answer would be Hellllllll NO for me, though the suspended piano adds a nice touch.  [smiley=huh.gif]

Cool!  Love the idea, but it looks rather pricey for my budget!  I have a T-bone appetite, but a tube steak budget.

Imagine if we got this at convention.  We would have to get another crane to hold about 20 tanks of O2, lots of redbull and a chest full of ice.

If they serve Miller Lite, Jonny's in too.

Uh ... umm ... What about bird droppings ? Sure, the chair swivels 180 degree but its not like you can really dodge effectively ....  :P

I would love it.  But I notice in the pictures, out of every four people, 1 looks like they love it, 2 look tense, and 1 other looks like they are gonna faint or get sick.

Jackie, you are braver than me.  I can hardly handle wearing shoes with heels.  Heights and I just don't get along at all.

The 3rd guy from the left in the the 4th pic looks totally terrorized.......I can identify with him for sure.

Damn, I am breaking out in a cold sweat just looking at those pics.
