Title: And people wonder why kids are so messed up... Post by Paul98 on Apr 11th, 2008, 8:36pm I could not believe this when I saw it. The kid is 4 years old and this is what the parents fight over. This is justification for forced sterilization in my book! http://www.thedenverchannel.com/news/15851207/detail.html -P. |

Title: Re: And people wonder why kids are so messed up... Post by Grandma_Sweet_Boy on Apr 11th, 2008, 8:56pm Dear God - that is beyond any comprehension. That poor child doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of survival. :'( |

Title: Re: And people wonder why kids are so messed up... Post by Kevin_M on Apr 11th, 2008, 9:07pm The hope would be by the time the toddler is in sixth grade, he should be more than smart enough to trash his parent's influencing wannabe gang crap that loses it's thrill luster after grade school, unless he drops out at that age. |

Ahhh...tiz true, tiz true. At this very moment my two teens are with their gang, hold up for the weekend at one location for 54 hours in an intence test of fidelity to the gang and the cause. Computers and reference books at the ready this gang, The Sushi Stalkers, is hunkered down to go to war in a battle of wits and useless knowlege against 450+ other gangs numbering 10,00+ total members in the 39th annual WAR OF THE WORLD of Trivia. They are battling notorious gangs such as "The Network" who are the alpha gang, BeerPigs, Knights of Neek, Tin Man, and the Franklin Street Burnouts. 11 members strong, Sushi Stalkers are a first year war participant gang I wish them well and that they survive the 54 hour trial by trivial mental fire semi-unscathed and fully sleep deprived. GO Trivia Invasion 39!!! |

Title: Re: And people wonder why kids are so messed up... Post by Groov on Apr 11th, 2008, 11:13pm Wow, what a super Father he is Paul :( :-[ :-/ And to think that he didn't even bother to take the time to decide what intravenous drug to get the boy hooked on !!!! Sure, he cared enough to get the boy in the right direction by suggesting the proper gang to join....but the nerve of him!!!! A simple suggestion like shooting meth and maybe a new needle for Christmas says "I love you son" What an an ass-nugget. Exterminate with extreme prejudice !!!!! |

Title: Re: And people wonder why kids are so messed up... Post by LeLimey on Apr 12th, 2008, 4:30am THIS one made the news... how many hundreds of other's don't? Here, if you want to get a dog or animal from a rescue society they vet you. They do their best to make sure animals are only given to people who will give them a good life and have the space and time to take care of them. Don't get me wrong, this is good and right BUT.. why do KIDS deserve less?? |

Title: Re: And people wonder why kids are so messed up... Post by Emily on Apr 12th, 2008, 6:11am And I was considering getting my nephew a trampoline for his 4th birthday this summer... I'm a terrible aunt. I'm going to have to check out the Bridgend gangs to find out what initiations they'll put him through on his birthday and then choose the toughest bad-a$$ gang for him, where he'll learn to use knives and guns and wear jeans down around his ankles. ::) |

To think of the terrible fights ahead for that poor family! Decisions between 9mm or 45! Should juniors first (age 10) be a head shot or slow bleed? Just think of all the heartache they will have when the economy is down and Jr's drug sales are down and their retirement is on shaky grounds! The one bright light in all this is Jr. will have a taxpayer paid solid education with 3 good meals, a warm bed, be able to be in top physical condition, have cable TV and conduct buisness as usual until he is out of "college" >:( >:( >:( -P. |

If humanity continues on it's current course of insanity... Humanity is doomed to extinction. What we need is to evolve... not revolt but to actually take the next step in growth and that is an evolution of the human spirit. with warm regards, Tony |

Title: Re: And people wonder why kids are so messed up... Post by Kevin_M on Apr 12th, 2008, 8:31am So we are left in suspense here, wondering when the day comes, which parent will get the kid the right gang symbols tatooed on his wrists and neck proving dominant ownership, sparing him any future problems in his life. |

Tony, think about the times humankind has been at it's best....it is when nature throws it's worst at us. Not with wars or violence produced by man but catastrophys. Perhaps a few good asteroid impacts, a 9+ earthquake here and there just to remind the human race life is short and pretty fragile. The spirit is there, we just need a reason to use it. ;) -P. |

Title: Re: And people wonder why kids are so messed up... Post by deltadarlin on Apr 12th, 2008, 9:13am If Katrina didn't slap some sense into people (which if you check out what some of these people are doing 2 years later), nothing will. With this little boy, I do hope that the state sees it's way to remove the child and put him into foster care. At least he's still young enough for the damage to be undone. |

I agree entirely, the problem here is that the State will probably be protecting the parents rights rather than the kids right because they are big enough to protest while the poor child has no voice. |

Why wait for a future catastrophe? In reality all we really have is the present moment... waiting for the future is futile... because the future will always remain just that... holding on to regrets of the past is a waste of time.... all we really have is the present moment... everything else is just an illusion. with warm regards, Tony |

Title: Re: And people wonder why kids are so messed up... Post by nani on Apr 12th, 2008, 12:12pm This is not a new phenomenon ... this attitude has been present in gang culture since the 40s and 50s. Gangs are your family. Obviously, gangs have changed since then, but the culture stays the same. nani, who knows "ghetto" |
