Title: Re: Hijack this thread... Post by Linda_Howell on Mar 30th, 2008, 3:41pm Don't those silly geese know it's not time to go back to Canada just yet? Mexico must have let them out early. I would post a pic of what Spring looks like in my neck of the woods but Brew and Pat would never speak to me again and of course I did promise to never mention how warm and sunny it is in Calif. Oooops. |

Title: Re: Hijack this thread... Post by Linda_Howell on Mar 30th, 2008, 4:09pm Spring means: I can stop wearing sweats, sweaters, jackets and fuzzy slippers and start wearing real clothes. Golfing is more enjoyable. I can stop making the "comfort" foods of winter and start making healthier meals. I can start planting things. All the classic car shows start. I can have my morning coffee on my patio instead of in front of the heater. Spring means it's closer to July and the convention. ;) As soon as I hit send, I'll think of 20 more.. |

LMAO Bro! You should see what is walking around the campus at SU the last 2 weeks of the semester. Makes the pic you posted look prudish. They could be Helen. I have seen the same geese come year after year. I think once they hatch and follow the flock through a migration many of the landmarks are hard wired in their brain and they will track the same route year after year. Title: Re: Hijack this thread... Post by Mosaicwench on Mar 30th, 2008, 5:29pm I have crocuses blooming . . . there's hope up here in the frozen tundra!! I have a teenager talking about Prom in May . . . . it must be Spring. The house needs to be painted, the snowbanks need to be cut back (yes, there are still snowbanks), and the lawn needs to be raked. But first, the two inch thick sheet of ice in my shed needs to thaw so I can get to the lawn tools . . . . We'll get more snow - that's almost a given. Sigh - it is Spring indeed. |

Title: Re: Hijack this thread... Post by PollyPocket on Mar 30th, 2008, 9:16pm ok, spring for me......... finding new places to unload tons of clean fill dirt, building permits needed in 1 week that will take no less than 3, lining up gravel, water and excavators on pools that we have no signed contract for, customers who want their pools opened that dont have final inspections on, and this year, not 2 but dropping THREE pools a week, which means 3 x the gravel, 3 x the dump sites, 3 x the permits, etc. Not to mention we still need a copter to fly a pool into a job site. In 2 weeks. And we are still fighting the county for the permit. And here I am still trying to locate my magic wand. Silly me LOL My new motto at work: I love pressure! |
