Title: For Helen, spring has sprung~again~ Post by deltadarlin on Mar 30th, 2008, 10:43am Did get out and take a few pictures on my way home from work the other day. Many more to come as I get them uploaded. The majority of these pics (all except the iris, which is not uploaded yet) were taken at Chemin-A-Haut State park. Chemin-A-Haut is French for "high road," which describes an old trail used by the Native Americans for their seasonal migrations. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v123/tribander_3/Louisiana%20scenes/IMG_1447.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v123/tribander_3/Louisiana%20scenes/IMG_1448.jpg This dogwood bloom didn't open all the way and it ended up looking strange. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v123/tribander_3/Louisiana%20scenes/IMG_1453.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v123/tribander_3/Louisiana%20scenes/IMG_1455.jpg |

Title: Re: For Helen, spring has sprung Post by LeLimey on Mar 30th, 2008, 10:54am Oh now you know I love those trees in water shots! The unopened dogwood looks very exotic doesn't it? Like a type of orchid or something. I think it's beautiful. I'm looking forward to seeing the Iris too! I love Iris's Thanks Carolyn! |

Title: Re: For Helen, spring has sprung~again~ Post by deltadarlin on Mar 30th, 2008, 2:30pm *This* dogwood tree is growing horizontally, along the ground. I'm guessing that it got knocked over and kept right on growing. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v123/tribander_3/Louisiana%20scenes/IMG_1460.jpg How about an azalea or two? These bushes are planted around the cottages at the park. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v123/tribander_3/Louisiana%20scenes/IMG_1468.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v123/tribander_3/Louisiana%20scenes/IMG_1471.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v123/tribander_3/Louisiana%20scenes/IMG_1474.jpg |
