Title: Rebate?
Post by Jonny on Mar 23rd, 2008, 4:11pm

How to use the rebate

As you may have heard the Bush Administration said each and every one of us would now get a nice $600 rebate.

**If we spend that money at Wal-Mart, all the money will go to China.

**If we spend it on gasoline it will all go to the Arabs.

**If we purchase a computer it will all go to India.

**If we purchase fruit and vegetables it will all go to Mexico, Honduras and Guatemala.

**If we purchase a good car it will all go to Japan.

**If we purchase useless crap it will all go to Taiwan and none of it will help the American economy.

We need to keep that money here in America, so the only way to keep that money here at home is to buy beer and prostitutes, since those are the only businesses still in the U.S.

**If you don't believe in beer and prostitutes send your money to me and I'll invest it for you...

Signed: Jonny  8)

I plan on spending mine on American beer, Wisconsin cheddar, half a hog and a side of beef, both locally raised and am considering buying a tiller and some fencing and starting a garden.  So, we will be skipping the prostitute, but thanks for the idea!  ;)

Man, is it just me or do strange/good things always seem to happen in an election year? Seems like just another way to get the American Publics attention of the real issues at hand off to the side. AKA, Bait and switch.

I'm going to take my $900.00 and buy a full tank of gas for my truck! I may get a Happy Meal for Christopher if I have enough left over after the visit to the gas station.

Coffee is up, wheat/flour is up(bread), If they raise the price of hops and barley, me and jonny is broke!!!! :D

Actually, tomorrow I'm going to put all of my money into "Sugar futures". It only makes sense.

I tried making a list of what I want or need.

The only thing on that list so far is porn.

I'll make sure it's American porn!

American, of course..

:D

Otherwise, I'm not spending a dime of it.  It goes to savings!

I'm sorry.  I guess I'm not going to do my patriotic duty.

Why apologize for doing the most responsible thing you could?

Do whatever you want to with it - it's your money!

At first I swore I was going to put it all away and leave it in case I needed a slush fund if I found myself out of work.

But I realized last night that I have lived in my place for 5 years now and the walls really could use a good washing, and the arthritis in my spine won't handle the labor.  I'll be getting quotes on wall and celing washing this spring.

Dear Tax Payer: This letter is to inform you that your rebate check is coming soon (http://news.jacksonville.com/justin/2008/03/08/dear-taxpayer-this-letter-cost-you-42-million/)

Our governement spent 42 million dollars to let you know your check is coming in the mail and not to throw it away, so make sure you don't!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This country is in need of a major fucking overhaul.

What a waste of our tax dollars!

Ours will be going in the bank.  Well most of it. I told Shaun he could get a hunting rifle. So that is about $500.00 there.

i'm going to rebuild the engine in my old ford pick up, so i big chunk of my check is going to a machinist in town. i think clevite is still american. allot of felpro gaskets are made in china. i once bought a pair of wheel bearing back in '96 for my truck and i had and you had the option of buying timkin, national, or some crappy asian brand. of coarse i bought the timkin bearings cause they had a big plant on 5th avenue in columbus oh. from witch  several of my friends fathers and grandfathers fed their families and retired from. last month i tried to get timkin bearings for another truck (i have many) and they were tikin bearings  made in china and they cost twice as much as the american timkin bearings used to cost. eventually i had to drive 50 miles to find american made bearings. and they were a little cheaper and better made. i'll tell you something else. every 2 years i'll drive 100 miles down to logan to buy my boots which are made in texas. any machine parts i need are made my my friend at robey tool and machine in columbus. most all of my welding stuff in the shop  is antique, american made. and very reliable. this day and age its hard to do but dammit i'm sticking to my guns! [smiley=bigguns.gif]

oh also walmart is the only game in town and i still don't shop there.

great post jonny ;)
