Tonight is garlic, peppercorn and rosemary crusted roast pork tenderloins on slivered roast onions, wild rice pelof with Broccoli and fresh bread sticks.

I made a crockpot full of beef stew. Pat made a Nesco full of beef and cabbage soup, crusty bread, and a lemon poppyseed torte.

Think I'll have a little of each.

Yep. Lets you take tough, cheap cuts of meat and cook 'em for 6-8 hours so they become tender and flavorful.

Isnt that enough to feed 12 people? Or is 5.5 lbs crap you throw away?

Allergic to shellfish so it doesnt matter, but wtf do you do w/12 lbs of lobster??

Paul cooked corned beef and cabbage for me when I was there last. It is NOTHING like what we call corned beef here which is just ghastly shit  ::)

I can honestly say I could live on that, corned beef, cabbage carrots and boiled potaotes. It doesn't get much better! The real Irish version is bacon and cabbage but a lump of bacon, or gammon as some would call it I suppose. I love that too.

recipe on the back of the Lipton Onion and Mushroom soup mix box.   It's easy and it's good....

For St Patricks Day - corned beef, cabbage, and little red taters in garlic butter ...........YUM!

Thanks Helen!  I just told my Andrea that I wanted the bacon I was supposed to get with my corned beef and cabbage and to get back in the kitchen.

Twas corn beef and cabbage last night chased with pilsner urquell, but tonight we had a home did shrimp fettucini alfredo a la batch with sun dried tomatoes, minced jalapenos, mushrooms, cream, and a lot of asiago chased with an aged chiante (2 yrs old) and sour dough bread.

We had a french baquette, salad, homemeade french fries and FINALLY grilled flank steak. I've been without a grill for months thanks to my adorable golden retreiver puppy eating through one of the pieces. The part finally came in last week. I forgot how much I missed grilled meat! For dessert we had homemeade peanut butter cookies. I havn't stopped thinking about them since the cookie discussion.

We did brunch and had hash browns, omelettes and homemade cinnamon rolls with Callifornia Giant raisins.  When the youngest daughter left we went into breakfast coma.  Now we are awake and going to watch a couple movies The fantastic Four: Return of the Silver surfer and The Farmer Astronaut.
