More Wisconsonites heading down. Lizzie and Teresa are heading to Bristol to the races and will be coming here for a few days afterward. Gotta get the old bedrooms dusted out again. Can't wait! :)

We're  both really really looking forward to it! It'll be a fantastic end to a great vacation!

Plans have changed, too:
Instead of leaving this morning to drive to Bristol, TN - the boss is flying us there. We'll rent a car (also paid for), spend 2 nights in Bristol for the race (PAID FOR!!!), do our stuff (and see Beeyul!!!), go see Jimi and Ruth, then fly home (again, paid for) from their place.
Boss gets work today and tomorrow and next Saturday from me.
I get 2 nights of a VERY expensive LaQuinta paid for in Bristol.  Also, he might not charge me any vacation time for next week.

I *hate* the term win-win, but this is definitely win-win.

If you guys ever get down this close to me and don't visit, I will be greatly disapointed. It has been awhile since we ate at Lambert's as well. It's about 2 hours away.

See if you can upgrade to a nice convertable sports car for the ride through the curvy, hilly, beautiful scenery.  Careful on them roads and get to the winner's circle of Jimi and Ruth's hospitality, after you've torn away from Bill's company.  Couldn't think of better company around the Bristol atmosphere than Bill.   ;)

Anyone ever eat at Monreal's in Nashville - those are hushpuppies and the family style seating (with strangers) really is a neat experience.

Lizzie, Bristol is the most sought after race in Nascar to get a seat as you know, sorry your's was behind a support.

Well Linda, I just received a call from Lizzie. She has bronchitis and got sick and stopped at a clinic in Lebanon Tenn. to get some antibiotics, so they are running a couple of hours behind schedule. They should be here by 7:30 pm cst. Plus we are under a tornado watch until 2AM so they may get more than they bargined for.  :-/

i love these posts with pictures. glad you all got together and had a good time. jerry stopped by yesterday and hung out for a while. are they still passing out free cigs at the gates or do they sign you up for a phone now? ;;D

We made it home at about 11pm last night - flew into Chicago, and wonderful Dave picked us up there (with food and water, no less!!).

More pics to be posted.... but I'm at work right now (yes, on Easter Sunday) and have to get this stuff done so I can leave in a little over an hour.


Needless to say, the Hendrix's hospitality was amazing / wonderful / full of love and acceptance.  More later, when I have my head on straight.....
