Title: My Turn to Brag

Last Saturday - on the stormiest day we've had this winter, my daughter Teddi, son in law Eric and my Princess, the adorable 9 year old Emma-Lee set out for Ottawa. The drive took 6 hours and cost them a cracked windshield, not to mention frayed nerves due to the ugly weather conditions. Roads were closing behind them.

Emma bowls in a youth bowling programme and has since she was 3 years old. She was a member of the Bantam Girl's Team that had won a zone round in a tournament called The 4 Steps to Stardom.

Her team won the Provincial Championships in Ottawa and now they go on to bowl in The Nationals in Edmonton Alberta. They fly out there in early May for a week of competition and planned activities.

I'm just so darned proud of my little Princess that I wanted to share "my brag" with you all.

Emma-Lee's a trooper, sounds like. Going on to win after a dicey trip like that only shows that she has grit, and keeps her eyes on the prize.

Carol, that is fantastic. I am proud of Emma, and also proud and appreciative of your family for supporting her interests and making sure she can get there. That is a sacrifice and very hard to do. The whole family done good.

Carol. I know you are very proud and so you should be! Congrats to Emma-Lee and to the parents for making this happen for her. That was a very nasty storm and that was quite thing they did for her.

That is awesome....sorry it was such a hard trip for them...but worth it I'm thinking... :)

Could you post her picture Grandma....I've seen you grandkids pictures but can't put her face with her name....
