This new boss of mine is a real piece of work!! No over time, but damn it all she's asking too damn much. I dropped the ball today with a regular customer because she said and I quote.."Bracket Bucks is a priority."

Sorry my "telemarketing" days are over and I have an extencive establishished customer base I need to work with.

I can't just drop everything to deal with her little pet projects, where I'm spending hours on end calling cold for 44 dollars per, and I drop the damn ball on a quote that I was to have out this afternoon.

Inaddition to this, yesterday, she freely admitted that she bold faced lied to one of my customers a couple weeks ago. I was out sick and she took a delivery over and told my customer she "worked with" the Rep that handles my customer's Brother's store in another Market. BS!!!

SHE was the rep, and my customer knows it. Now my credibility as well as my boss's are shot! No wonder anything I've presented to her she's declined. I know my customer and honesty is paramount to continuing business with her.

I'm at a crossroads.

I want to pull the HR Director and our GM into a meetingand get this into the open. Just not sure how to go about it.

I'm tired of being looked at as some lowly peon by her.

In meetings she'll say "I hear you saying"..but it's an assumption because I haven't finnished my damn sentance. She hears alright...but she doesn't listen none too damn good. BIG fucking difference.

I meditate, I try to sleep at night, (yeah right) I go to work even if only on the serface with a positive frame of mind, but I'm drownding.

I used to love my job. Took the good with the bad, and rolled with the punches. Now this...The condicending additude, the "no matter what you do it's not enough"

Sorry I just needed to vent.....

Get distracted by her closed, non-listening, obsessive managerial feel for freedom to over-delegate, which demoralizes, and then get blamed for losing sight of your own work.

yep, she thinks it's management.

Unfortunately, that type makes it to management without an iota of people skills. Never should happen, untrustworthy but pushy.

Pegg - remember this "those that can, do" (that would be you) and "those that can't" seem to always make it up the managerial ladder (that would be your dimwitted manager!)

Relax - those of you that are managers - I didn't mean every damned manager known to man - but we all know the others!

They do it on the backs and shoulders of others, but they always seem to do it.

Damnably unfair but it seems to be the way of the world.

Keep in mind - it's a ton easier to find a job when you already have one! Maybe time to dust off the resume?

Pegg hon, you have taken a lot of shit there from her. And you have consistently faced it with resolve and dignity.

She's not going to change, so maybe its time for you to make a change. Dusting off and updating that resume is a damn fine idea. It puts YOU back in control of the situation.

Thanks for the support guys. I was very frustrated last night, as this "boss" told Ruth and I that we need to focus again this morning on this bracket bucks pet project.

I'm sorry, but I only have 3 hours before we have a committee meeting at 11AM, and I have to get that quote out that I dropped yesterday, schedule a few ads for Easter worship services for a couple of my churches, and plan out and get sealed a special order print and insert deal. I need to schedule two full page Favre photo sponsorships, follow up on another customer who wants to sponsor 3 more of those, but hey, 44 dollars is more important than the 325.00 a pop on those photo pages. .. it's going to be a very busy day.

Document everything she tells you - date time and substance of what is told to you. THEN go to HR when you get FED UP totally. They MIGHT just figure out she's NOT management material when it's costing the company MONEY! Somehow bottom line is important to the people who COUNT.....
