first of all i would like to say thank you ,

for all the advice.....welll it all went out of the window :)

there was a bus strike, no tourist tours >:(

but the underground metro, is superb (and a tenth of

the cost , for a tour , and more fun ;) )

went to the neau camp (they were playing celtic that

day, so the town was full of scots ::) .....but they know

how to create a good atmashfear ( ;;D do they drink )

anyway ....bob p. you said go to las ramblas , i did ;)

at the bottom of las ramblas , is a statue....surrounded

by lions etc......who is on top off this

there is 7 towers now..apparently there will be 12 when it is finished,

The guy on top of the monument at the bottom of Las Ramblas is Christopher Columbus. Guess the Spainards want credit for discovering the americas.

Thank you for the pics, the Towers are tremendous! Very ornate temple. and beautiful statues.

Yorky, the pics are wonderful, what a cool place. How in the heck did you get to where you are in that first pic?

I am not good with heights and that one gave me sweaty palms.

they have a rally i n lorret...every year, im not in to auto or racin...but it was awesome
they just but barriers up around the streets,
and it it just unbeleivable...the noise as they race past
the smell.....

Those pics brought back some fond memories. I went to Barca in 2005 and loved it! I was only there for 4 days but have always wanted to go back.

Did you climb the stairs to the top of the Sagrada Familia? I took the lift - it was far too high!

Looks like you had a fab time. Great pics too!!
