Thank you all for the wonderful posts and messages. They are very near and dear to my heart. Here are some pictures for now, sorry I can't write more. The section wouldn't have been so bad if I didn't need one. :( Ava was sunny side up, head tilted way back, plus I wasn't dialating past a 7 and her head wasn't engaging. So, anxiety ridden mel was wheeled into the OR. Everything went great except for one thing. The doc had to cut through some blood vessels to get to the uterus. Well, never in all his life and thousands of surgeries had he seen blood vessels like the ones I had. They were very large, in bunches and some were the size of this THUMB. Turns out it was from endometriosis. Anyway, I lost 1 liter of blood, my blood pressure dropped and I felt like just going to sleep. But they stabilized me, thank GOD! Wouldn't you know it, the next night (Sat.) I ended up with an anxiety attack. Oh my how wonderful Ativan is! When Jesse & Eli came to get me today, Eli was sick and threw up in the car on the way there and in my hospital room before we were about to leave. He's doing better now, so at least that's good. So I'm home now, on percocet and taking my xanax when I need it. I'll be taking my 1st Cymbalta pill in the morning. Things just have GOT to get better from here! |

I know from watching my wife recover from c-sections that it takes a lot out of you. And her's didn't have the complications your's did. We'll be patient. I know what its like to have to have a section after trying for a long time... it seems the endometriosis was probably the cause of the inconsistant labor and not dialating... all that extra stuff causes kinks in the birthing world. They told me that because I had such major scar tissue from my first C section that it made Sean take an extra turn which made him breach... hence my second section... then Breezy did the same thing... so I had a third section too... not fun... didn't have the blood vessel problems... ewwwwwwwwwww glad you are ok... heal so that you can be the rollerskating momma we know you to be... love ree ps absolutely BEAUTIFUL family... you are blessed... |

That did wonders for my anxiety about busting the staples (both kids c-section). The very best you can do for yourself is rest as often as possible, but make yourself get yourself up and move around when you're able to. Hurts like hell I know, but you'll be amazed at how quickly you recover from that. Did I mention the yawn pic is PRICELESS??!!!! Good job mom. Jen |

So here is my question....Are you normally the person who goes against the norm, or is Jesse? Or, did Ava inherit this trait from both of you. In any case, Ava decided to make life a little more "interesting" at the time of her birth. Ava dictated her birth, and both Mom and Dad, had better beware in the future. You GO Ava! Babies born by c-section are always cute, they don't get the squished head/ear down look. Rest, but be sure to move, if you lay up very much, you'll end up stiff. Did you have the *bikini* cut or the up and down cut? Both can pull terribly and you can end up walking hunched over like an old woman if you're not careful. This is why I have only one. Had no desire to experience that again (not to mention the fact that both of us came close to dying). |

Right now I am in the heat of battle with the Cymbalta side effects that inlude vertigo, insomnia, the shakes and increased anxiety. I barely got any sleep last night as my head wouldn't shut up and the shaking wouldn't stop. I'm hoping to get some tonight though. I so wish Jesse could get off of work, he did the 1st night but had to go back. Fucking HR BS. >:( Anyway, nothing like the feeling you're about to lose it mentally! Maybe I'll have fun playing pinochle with the other fruitcakes in the ward, ya never know. ;) jk Well, I get my staples out today, which should be interesting since Lily is home sick today from school, she did not stop vomiting last night. Poor kid is just wiped out. :( Jesse looks like he's coming down with something too. Oh please let me get through this blasted side effects and onto greener pastures!!! LYG me |

Right now Lily is over her bug, but I'm keeping her home from school today so she can get some strength back and now Jesse has the bug. Just as long as it stays away from me and Ava! Well, I decided after the night I had on Tuesday that I wasn't taking another Cymbalta pill on Wed. night. I'll tell you, my anxiety was less, I was able to sleep plus Ava was a sweetheart and only woke up twice during the night! I feel so much better today. :) When I'm feeling 100% I'll post some good pictures of my little princess. You guys are the best and I love you all so much! |
