Family first and foremost, golfing, photography, sewing (this many grandkids (#11 on the way) means busy times at sewing machine!).

And up until yesterday - believe it or not - my job was also my passion.

Well, you're not going to catch my bass, cuz I'm burnin' up the fingerboard!

My passions are, in this order:

*Husband
*Father
*Bass player
*Singer

I love the first two because they are rewards unto themselves, and I love the last two because they are not only rewards unto themselves, but they can be tools to help raise money for those who need it.

Spending time with my wife and daughter--and fly fishing for trout.

Ellen and me at Kilpatrick Bridge on the west side of Silver Creek Preserve south of Sun Valley, near the Purdy Ranch.  Early season, a couple of years ago.  We're just checking things out.

You can't see it, but there's a nice PMD hatch starting up, and the rainbows are coming off their lies to take the mayfly duns as they pop to the surface.  A PMD hatch is a lovely thing--the duns on the surface with their wings upright resemble a flotilla of tiny boats with butter-colored sails.

I like it here.

My passion is rather strange and wonderful, it is an intelligent persuit, well read, requires periods of self analysis and introspection.  It is an unusual mix of what is good, what is familliar yet new, comfortable yet exciting, soft yet firm.  My passion is far away but with every step and beat of my heart; my passion is with me all the way. :-*

My other passions are:  Biology/electrical engineering, cooking and animals.  I have to list cleaning the house because if I don't think of it that way I'll live in a pig pen.  LOL

Paul that was lovely  :-*

My passions - my family, immediate and extended.

OUCH US, an over-riding passion without doubt.

Reading

Cooking

Entertaining, I love having friends to stay or visit.

Walking, especially with Paul up in the Adirondacks. That is Heaven on Earth for me, I truly love it there.

I love to drive, I love listening to music, I enjoy decorating, taking photo's, embroidery - I like learning new things.

I've learned sometimes the greatest pleasures in life can be planning things. When life is such that you can't realise your dreams straight away, thinking of them and planning the future, day dreaming about the joys to come is a lovely way to pass time but it's important never to lose sight of today while anticipating tomorrow ...

Which is why my greatest "need" at the moment is my phone and hotmail. They keep me smiling while waiting  :)

wow. I have really thought about this topic today Jackie, and it really made me examine my emotional expenses.

I used to be passionate about painting and cooking.

But I tend to be obsessive about anything new I do, and for that reason, I detach so as not to let the other areas of my life "slide"- I do that all too often to the detriment of every other area.  I suck at that!

Now I enjoy painting, cooking, fishing, my job, billiards, gardening,  you folks, and finding new and creative ways to get out of emptying the dishwasher   [smiley=grin2.gif]

Bill, you should give it a try - you’ll see how hard it gets to try and elevating laziness to a science level - do you
remember catch 22 (book/film) -  all the time it seems to me, the harder I try the more difficult it gets......

Michael

(for the ones that do no know the book Catch 22,
"Catch-22" is common idiomatic usage meaning "a no-win situation" or "a double bind" of any type,
the book: Catch-22 is a satirical, historical novel by the American author Joseph Heller, first published in 1961,
The title, "Catch-22," is a reference to a bureaucratic catch, which embodies multiple illogical and immoral reasoning seen throughout the book; and which itself is an absurd joke: namely, that bureaucratic nonsense has gotten to such a high level that even the catches are codified with numbers)

I've been thinking about this one.  Here's what I've concluded.

I am passionate about my wife and kids (including stepkids).

I am passionate about serving God.

I am passionate about helping others.

I am passionate about successfully overcoming my depression and anxiety, with some progress made.

I need to get some hobbies going, but things that I used to do often, now seldom but still enjoy are:

Photography
Skeet Shooting
Collecting antique cobalt blue glass items
Learning new computer technology

I guess that's it for now.

Wishing you well,

Ray

It seems to me you are passionate about people and creating comfort in both a physical sense and emotional sense.   You are very good at putting people at ease enough to be themselves and you are genuinely intersted in what they have to say.

I love my home

I love pupies

And I love to race my motorcycle

But above all of these things God has blessed me with, I love this website, because now I am no longer alone in my battle with Cluster Headache and that means more to me than puppies!

I hope to help you all someday the way you helped me

My family.  They are my saving grace.

Aside from that in no particular order, fishing, camping, traveling, shopping, baking/cooking, making $$.

Oh, and a chilled glass of rhubarb wine w/ice on an 80 degree summer day out on the deck, sitting in the patio chair and doing a word search. 8)
